Spooky day…

IMG_0570.JPG   Spider webs… A staple of this scary time of the year..

www.marionbell.com/spooky-day

This is my story for Thursday October 31st.. Halloween..

This is an exciting day, filled with anxious energy… The night of spooky things, goblens, and creatures that go bump in the night.. This school day is none like no other.. Children parade down the halls and around the school showing off their costumes.. Everyone is anticipating the announcement from the office on the best costume of the day.. Their smiles, and giggles echo in the hall ways, as they make their way back to their classes.. The verdict will be in soon, and someone will be crowned the winner.. Meanwhile in their classrooms a party is going on.. Masks have been removed and the students have returned.. Their smiling faces and their endless energy is only a sample of what awaits the parents in the evening hours.. There is endless chatter coming from each classroom in schools all over the world.. Teachers dressed in costume of old and new… Teachers do their best attemept to gain silence..

IMG_4535 (3).JPG       Waiting and wondering what comes next…

The snacks have been put out on a large table, and the punch is waiting to be served.. A large bowl of candy has the attention of several students.. The scence has been set for the party to begin.. Instructions on the party rules have been said, and now the party begins.. Snacks are devoured by what seems to be hungry children.. The games begin, will the apple bobbing fun be topped by a winner.. Clean towels await the dripping faces of the contestance.. I wonder who will be the one to bite that apple and claim the prize??

DSC_0488.JPG   Houses get ready for the children who soon will be there..

DSC_0508.JPGHomes are dressed with spiders, webs, scary creatures, and not so scary ones..

DSC_0511.JPGThe reaper waits for the souls that he will steal this night.. The souls of frightened children..

There is no time to wait.. Soon the streets will be crawling with creatures of all kinds.. The classrooms are filled with echoed  voices.. There comes a bell, and everyone holds their breath.. The words come from a vanpire that has taken over the office, to the children’s delight.. The winner is announced, while long sighs are all that can be heard.. The staff is well trained, and awaiting their cues on what comes next.. The classrooms are cleaned up by all, and the last bell is soon to ring.. The day will be done and the parents will take over.. The excitement is high as the children head home.. The teachers have done their job well, and pitty the parents as their time is about to begin.. Ghost’s hang from trees, as darkness creaps in..

puzzled.jpgThe children sit in nervous tension, as they wait for the right time..

Scary faces are all ready to answer their doors, to the echo of ‘Trick or Treaters’ .. The time will come, and the fun will begin..

DSC_0401.JPG         This scary person just sits and watches…

DSC_0463.JPGA covenent of witches wait in the fog of the night, as ghosts dance over their heads…

The time is near and the witching hour is moments away.. The children are ready, and the gate is officianlly open.. Halloween Night has begun.. The streets are busy with parents and children hurrying from house to house.. The bounty of candy is waiting for  all of them this night.. The ability to keep candy away from their mouths is sometimes uncontrolable.. The sacks get heavy and the legs get tired.. The time to go home must be near..

20180313_232601873_iOS.jpg     I wait by my gate for ‘Trick or Treaters’ to arrive….

Yes, that is me as a witch.. Halloween is my time of the year.. I hear whispers as children walk away.. A witch lives in that house.. Did you not see??  She looked straight at me…

To all those parents out in the cold, I wish you a ‘Happy Halloween Night’…  🙂 🙂

Pumpkin patch

DSCN2598 (2).JPG       We followed behind a long line of many others, as we entered the Pumpkin Patch..

www.marionbell.com/pumpkin-patch

This is my tale of a day in the pumpkin patch for Monday October 21st…

DSCN2599 (2).JPGThe day was one of those beauty days we dream about in the fall.. The line to gain entrance to the pumpkin patch was long, but moved quickly.. The sea gulls could be seen against the blue sky, as they circled for any scraps of food they could find..

DSCN2601 (2).JPG       We passed sheep, goats and a Jersey cow.. There was chickens, ducks, geese and various other farm animals..

DSCN2609 (2).JPG   A beautifully colored Peacock watched us closely as we walked past him…

DSCN2610.JPGTom, the Turkey followed us as walked slowly past his enclosure.. He looked so sad… One thing for sure is that he missed Thanks Giving dinner…. 🙂

DSCN2665 (2).JPGParents kept their children close as they made their way to the next, Bouncy Castle, bike trails just for the little folks.. Large bails of hay lay in patterns that gave children and some adults a place to play on.. A sand box filled with construction toys made a great place to show a child’s skills at loading a dump truck full of dirt.. A corn maze gave families a time to figure out where the way out was.. There were places to jump, run, or just a good old hill to roll down in the cool grass..

DSCN2646 (2).JPG    Smiling faces peered threw cut out holes of hand painted scenes depicting the farm…

DSCN2619 (2).JPG     The faint sound of a train whistle draws your eyes to a packed train heading around a hill with various displays depicting scary, ghouls and haunted towns.. All reminding us that Halloween is getting closer…

DSCN2620 (2).JPG    In the distance I could see someone waving at all that passed by.. On further inspection, it was not a human, but a creature trying to scare us away.. We pushed forward passing by a haunted house that had very load banging going on inside in the pitch black… The sounds of people screaming could un-mistakably be heard as people ran from the darkness and into the light..

DSCN2615 (2).JPG    As we turned the corner behind the Haunted House.. There in front of us were people in cages.. In cages!!!! What was going on and were we the next to be trapped with the other people in the cages.. I stood still watching as the cage doors were opened and the people were set free.. These were the wagons that took us to the pumpkin patch.. I felt more at ease as we loaded up and were on our way.. Slowly we turned a corner, and could see…

DSCN2708 (2).JPG   Horses grazing on blades of green grass.. They did not even seem to see us as we passed by..

DSCN2669 (2).JPG    A line of grave markers towered over the scattered bones of humans that were buried there.. The wolves must have dug them up and licked the bones till they were white…

DSCN2696.JPG    Hidden in the corn rows was a Saloon with men staring at us as we passed them by..

DSCN2675 (2).JPG   A large family entertained themselves, as the cook rustled up a mess of burgers to feed the hungry… The spiders climbed the walls of the shack to escape the heat of the grill.. We bounced along at a slow pace, looking for any other families…

DSCN2700 (2).JPG      We watched as a magic show, being performed for all who came to see the show…

DSCN2694 (2).JPG     A covenant of Witches, cast their spells our way as we sped past them…

DSCN2693.JPG    This fellow in the corn stood watching over us as we got off the wagon… This was the pumpkin patch we had all been waiting to see…

DSCN2705 (2).JPG   A field of pumpkins lay before us as children ran here and there in the hunt for the perfect pumpkin…

DSCN2679 (2).JPG       The hunt for the perfect pumpkin was a daunting task, that made the best of us tired…

DSCN2687 (2).JPG    People started to head back to the wagons to take their harvest home with them.. Cutting that perfect pumpkin was a creative adventure…

DSCN2711 (2).JPG    We stood in amazement at the small town someone had built in the grass.. This is only one of the many buildings placed in the design of an old west town…

We entered a well stocked gift shop and browsed around the many shelves and displays… Heading to our cars dragging our feet, we were done and proud of our pumpkins..

Thanks to everyone who came to read my words this Monday October 21st.. Election day in Canada.. Get out and vote for the future of your world, and leader who cares…

I have decided to write my stories on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for awhile due to over-load.. I will see you Tuesday.. Take care and be kind to others.. Have a wonderful Monday… 🙂 🙂

Thunder…

DSCN2376.JPG     An Orbit trailer.. I was not too familiar with this make..

www.marionbell.com/thunder

This is my banter for Wednesday October 2nd…

Before I go into my writing, I wish to apologize for having no post on Tuesday October 1st.. The internet was down and I was unable to do anything at all.. 🙁

Hello everyone:: I hope all of you great people are well on this day.. I seem a photo of Montana and Alberta, and they had a real dumping of snow.. Wow.. I’m happy I don’t live there… Last night in my part of the world there was a pretty nasty thunder storm.. The lights flickered a couple times as I started to write… The next thing I seen was darkness and the internet was pooched.. When the lights turned back on a few minutes later, the internet was no longer operating.. But, thanks to the repair man, the problem has been fixed.. I’m up and running again.. Today has brought a day of heat.. Thirty plus, and after the rain we received last night it’s like walking into a sauna.. Sticky, muggy and gross… The plants will love this day for sure.. It’s funny Wednesday is calling for a high of thirteen.. What a difference.. Cook one day and freeze on the next day.. Wow!! Crazy!!!

DSCN2381.JPGTastefully decorated and clean lines.. I  love the light fixture..

The couple that did this trailer did the best they could to keep this trailer as original as possible.. I think they did a wonderful job.. 🙂   I hope those that seen the football sports noticed that Vontaze Burfict was up to his usual dirty strikes.. His head bunt actions have left him in hot water, and I mean hot… Vontaze has beeen warned many times over, and over… But, this was the last straw… Vontaze has been suspended… There is no room is sports for those kinds dirty shots… Right now I am watching the 2019 World Championship of darts.. It looks like most of the crowd is not paying a lot of attention to the players.. Lots of milling around is going on in the stadium… The event looks intense as the players concentrate on each toss of the darts.. There is lots of activity in the crowd as a winner is taking his bow… Job well done… Can you tell I am bored?? Well, I am.. I ended up yesterday with a nasty migraine head ache and today is the left over pain of the second day… I think it was from the storm that rolled in last night.. By the looks of the skies outside the window, it’s going to rain again…

DSCN2320.JPG        This trailer is a Glendette….

It would seem that this trailer is very old.. I have never seen a fifth wheel trailer like this.. Mostly because I had no idea they were made back then.. The husband and wife who have owned this trailer for what seems like a hundred years, frequently use this trailer to this very day… Unlike the new ones of now.. The bedroom has a full look out over the dining area.. The kitchen is well thought out with plenty of room for a growing family.. The bathroom is quite roomy and has a tub in it.. It would be a trailer with the possibility of living in.. I wish I could have seen this trailer in it’s day, as it rolled off the assembly line.. She would have been beautiful… After all, old things are just as dependable as the new, maybe even more dependable.. And much easier to fix… I will be adding a couple photos of the inside, and you will be able to see what I mean as far as the interior.. It’s better if you actually are inside the trailer in person.. The truck that hauls this fine living quarters on wheels is a mere two years younger than the trailer..

DSCN2323.JPG DSCN2322.JPG      Total comfort away from home…

It was a blast being able to write my word tonight and share them with you all.. I hope you all have a wonderful evening and a great day on Wednesday.. Till later.. Live life to the fullest… 🙂 🙂

I want to thank my readers who come to read my words… Thanks so much… 🙂 🙂   Enjoy my photos.. 🙂 🙂

Go west…

DSCN2366.JPG          This an oldie but a goody..

www.marionbell.com/go-west

This will be my banter for Monday September 30th…

Hello to everyone:: I hope all is well with all of you… The weekend is now over, and for those who work it will be back to work again.. “I know, I know.” That’s a dirty word to say on a Sunday evening.. But reality will be kicking you in the butt soon enough.. I feel pain for all of you that drag yourselves into work on Monday.. But I guess the all mighty dollar has to be earned.. Anyways, Monday is the last day of September… I sit here and wonder again as I always do.. “What has happened to this month??”  Today, Sunday has been down right cold where I am living.. I guess fall has given us notice that it is here.. “I wish to ask a question”… “Does Indian summer come after the first frost, or in September???”  I would appreciate someone letting me know the answer to my question.. Also, Thanksgivings day is coming pretty soon.. I see a lot of decorations, and small squashes in the stores.. The dollar stores have displays for the table, and outside your home… You can purchase the goods to whip up a wreath for your front door.. All these items for a dollar?? NO.. They are sold for dollars… Not a dollar like we used to pay.. Now they are one dollar plus several dollars.. The place is not cheap anymore.. But it is a convenient place to pick up anything that is cheaply made.. No matter what we all seem to visit there from time to time…

DSCN2364.JPG           This is the drivers seat of this Winnebago..

I wish to chat about this beautiful machine from the past.. We entered this motorhome and found the old style steering wheel and column with the gear shift right there.. Also I have never been in one before and noticed that the passenger seat is made for two people, not just one.. That was fascinating to me and a bit curious at the same time.. The interior was decorated with the old styled colors on the furniture, and on the walls.. I love the size, and convenience of the kitchen and washroom areas.. This vehicle must have been a sight to see when it was new and rolled  off the assembly line.. Beautiful… You had to have a fist full of dollars to buy that one… 🙂 ” Go West son, they said…” Are you kidding me?? There isn’t any going west for this person.. It seems that the west gets the snow much earlier than most of us.. This weekend Alberta was looking at snow on Saturday, and Sunday.. The report said that the amounts would be up to 60 cm. of snow.. That’s why I’m not going west.. Saskatchewan, Manitoba and northern Ontario will be looking at rain but no snow.. Thank goodness for that.. All that white stuff can stay out west till I find my long johns, and that could take me along time.. For all those that have never had the chance to experience a pair of long johns.. They are winter under ware  that keeps you warm, and sucks up the perspiration from your body.. They are also part of the layer system outdoor people ware.. First long johns, shirt and pants, a sweater, a coat and so on…

DSCN2353.JPG           Another example of a vintage Glendale trailer..

The inside of this trailer, it had been spruced up and looked darn beautiful… I like the choice of colors on the outside and on the inside.. It was tastefully decorated, and had a lot of people commenting on the inside.. Lets put it this way… I would have gladly stayed over in that trailer for week..  🙂  Here in Canada the election campaigns are in full swing… With each candidate trying to convince the voters that they are better than the next guy, or gal.. I, like many have a hard time figuring out who is paying for the promises they are making.. Not one candidate has given that information up as of yet.. Heck, I’m just going to vote for the underdog.. Candidates seem to be living in a world where truth and honesty doesn’t mean a thing.. It’s perplexing and a joke to watch.. The things they promise will never be done with out the words of the party in second place.. There are rules and they are to be followed.. It’s a media circus, with twisted words and fingers pointing at the candidates with each word they say.. I’m glad I do not have to be in the drivers seat and navigate through this pile of  hollow promises..

DSCN2351.JPG      This is just one shot of the inside of the Glendale trailer….

As you can see the color scheme from the outside is drawn into the inside.. It is tastefully designed and caught the eye of many of the visitors who stopped by to take a peak inside, and ask question to the owners.. 😮 There are still a few more trailers that I have to showcase… I will be bringing a couple more trailers for you to  enjoy on Tuesday.. You have a wonderful Monday and be safe.. I’m off and running… See ya later.. 🙂 🙂

I would like to tip my hat to all you wonderful readers out there who pop by to read my words.. Thanks… 🙂 🙂  Enjoy the photos.. 🙂 🙂

Home again…

www.marionbell.com/home-again

This is my banter for Tuesday September 17th..

Hello everyone:: How was everyone during the past days while I was away? I hope you were all safe, and had lots of fun spending valuable time with your friends or family.. The weather seems to have taken a turn towards the cool side of fall.. I don’t really mind that at all, and I embrace the coming of fall and harvest time.. The fall fairs are popping up all over the world.. The fall fairs bring back a lot of memories of carnival rides, fall fair foods, tractor pulls, smash up derbies, pumpkin pie, candy apples, and cotton candy.. I love going into the stables to watch the farm animals with their handlers proudly being judged by judges.. The smiles on the faces of the children as they receive an award for their animals talents.. Pies, pies and more pies.. Being judged and eaten with the delight of the patrons.. Fall fairs give use a time to break away from the humdrum of regular life.. A time to laugh, relax and indulge in things that are new.. So, if you hear about a fall fair close to you.. Go out and have some fun.. 🙂 🙂

DSCN2053.JPG       Taking a quiet walk through the woods on a service road…

The time away was glorious, and we have decided to go again in October for another get away like we just finished.. I can’t wait to see all the wonderful fall colors, as the leaves turn from green to golds, orange, and reds.. We ventured into some of the small towns around the area, and enjoyed the sights.. I took so many pictures every time we went some where else.. There was a bit of rain which left use in the trailer for the day, but that didn’t bother either of us nor the dogs.. I found the privacy amazing, as where we live is on a corner, and the privacy is limited.. My hubby Douglas seen some chipmunks but I never did.. I see them everyday at home but not one in the wild.. That’s quite funny.. I got to seen the monarch butter fly, and others butter flies.. I love the colors they display as they sail by on wisps of air.. Birds could be heard in and around the camp.. The lone goose looking for it’s mate.. The goose called franticly as it flew back and forth in search of the other.. I could hear the roaring engines of off road bikes, as they revved quickly by.. They never stayed long and their sound faded away in the light of day..

DSCN2283.JPG              The beauty of the night sky..

In the distance we could hear the voices of other campers.. But we barely seen them.. The time was just right to go and enjoy nature.. Douglas seemed to have loved his time away as well.. He didn’t seem to mind that there was no television, and no internet.. We were off line and only played games while sitting across from each other at the table.. A table that was a little on the unbalanced side.. It was funny when we put our elbows on the table and it would dip down and go up on the other person’s side of the table.. I wanted so much to fix the table, but I had no drill to fix it with.. At least it would have been a bit more stable.. It’s all part of camping.. At least it is in my books.. Tomorrow I will call and book our next stay, and pack warm jackets, and doggie sweaters, to keep us warm.. I can’t wait for the next get away.. We had a wonderful time this time, and we are sure we will enjoy our next outing..

DSCN2204 (2).JPG           By the light of the camp fire…

There is no better way to end the night off when you are camping.. We sit by the fire, and watch as the embers sail up to the sky.. As wood crackles in the heat of the fire.. As you can see even the puppies are all enjoying the fire too.. Take care of yourselves and be safe out there.. I must be running, and getting something accomplished.. Till later.. Have a good day… :0 🙂

I would like to thank all the wonderful people who tune in and read my banter each day… Thanks!!  🙂 🙂 As usual the photos are taken by myself.. Enjoy… 🙂 🙂

Weather change…

DSCN1742 (2).JPG             Bright colors to compliment a beautiful day…

www.marionbell.com/weather-change

This is my banter for Tuesday August 27th…

Hi everyone:: How’s everything going? It’s been reasonable here. Today the weather has been the best, and very comfortable if you want to spend time outside.. How has the weather been where you live?? I hope it has been pleasant like it was here.. Our weather man has thrown a curve into the whole weather forecast… He had predicted good weather for this whole week.. Well, this evening (Monday) the forecast has all changed.. It does not look good either.. It looks like we are looking at rain falls at 80% and 90%.. So, I guess Tuesday will be wet and very soggy day.. It’s a day for rubber boots and rain coats.. I just had a vision of a child with a yellow rain coat  a hat and big yellow rubber boots.. It’s actually very cute.. The boy is with his puppy. They are staring down at the puddle they are standing in.. The little boy starts to jump up and down in the puddle, as the puppy rolls in the water.. The kind of sight that can make you smile and chuckle.. It gives us a glimpse at our childhood times of the past.. It also dragged me away from the sadness of a day of rain.. Well, I enjoyed that little walk away from the negative.. I know, the rain is good for the plants, and the water table.. But, come on it’s nearing the end of summer.. All I want is nice going outside weather.. ‘Please’..

DSCN1701.JPG           Beautiful yellow flowers.. Can you tell I like yellow flowers..

I know it’s going to be the pits Tuesday, so I will have to figure out some interesting project I can do during the day.. I have plenty of those little cleaning chores to do, but Monday was cleaning day.. I can’t do cleaning chores both days.. That will be out of  character for me, and anyways I just don’t want to do it.. ‘So there’.. I could do a craft that has likely been lingering around here somewhere.. I could have a home foot spa treatment, that will leave my feet feeling rejuvenated and silky smooth.. ‘Hm’.. That seem like the number one contender for Tuesday.. ‘A little pampering never hurt anyone, even if you are doing it yourself.. I am presently doing the laundry.. So that is out of the equation.. I could eat junk food till I durst.. ‘Na, then I would just have to clean that all up’.. I could chase the dogs around the house with the vacuum.. ‘That sounds like lots of fun for me, but not so much for the dogs.. ‘Hey, I should be able to bug them as they always bug me’.. ‘What should I do?’  I’m very sure, that no matter what it is I choose it will be fun.. I hope you all can find something to do on rainy days, besides watching television.. Reading a book sounds like a good way to pass the time. I would likely fall asleep, and get a nap… Naps are made for lazy do nothing days.. I don’t usually nap unless I am not feeling all that well.. Then the nap is warranted in that case without feeling guilty.. My hubby usually has several naps while sitting up.. He always says he is looking through his eye lids.. ‘Sure.’  ‘I ain’t going to fall for that one anytime soon..

yellow and black.jpg            This beauty, was a big surprise that I found in my box garden..

Don’t you just love it when you find a treasure like this plant.. I was blown away by the way it looks so much like a Black Eyed Susan.. The leaves a different, and the fine hairs are so prominent.. It’s a master piece of nature.. I will have to save seeds from this one flower and plant them next spring.. I am a flower nut, and find much joy in having such beautiful gardens that my hubby and I work so hard on.. When it comes to this time of the season the flowers loose some of their beauty.. It is nearing the time to prune them back and prepare them for the colder months.. I maybe getting a head of myself, but I can see the weather change showing on a few of the plants.. I have one other picture that I took while visiting with my son and his wife at camp.. The photo is truly breath taking.. I was drawn to this flower, and the way it was situated if front of a tree.. The setting was perfect.. I hope you all enjoy this last photo for Tuesday’s banter…

This is a true sign of natures wonder…

I leave you tonight with this photo to gaze upon.. I love the colors, and the place where the plant is growing.. Take care of those you love, and be safe out there in this beautiful world.. Till later.. Enjoy life to it’s fullest..

I would like to thank all my readers for the time you take from your busy day to read my banter.. 🙂 🙂    The photos you see in my banter are taken by myself.. Hope you enjoy them.. 🙂 🙂

Outside Time…

DSCN1675.JPG

                The color of fall….

www.marionbell.com/outside-time

This is my banter for Friday August 23rd..

Hello all you smiling people:: Today was the nicest day in quite sometime.. I hope all of you had the same kind of day or something close to ours.. Friday marks the end of the week and the beginning of the weekend.. This week has flown by so quickly.. In a matter of a week we will be into the last long weekend of 2019.. That seems weird to say and hear that out loud.. I look back and wonder where all the summer went.. ‘Oh, yes’.. ‘I remember the heat, and all the beach goers.’ I seen the car back up on the byway as far as the eye could see.. All the cottage runners and the many campers out for a break from the big city rat race.. Heading for the great out doors.. A time to gather around the campfire, and toast marsh mellows.. People following people in the ritual of summer.. There is still time for the camping, swimming, and out door fun.. We are also running down on the amount of day light we get to experience each day.. ‘I even seen a post some where on Facebook that showed how many days till Christmas’… ‘Are you kidding me??’ Most families have a hard enough time worrying about getting school supplies for their children.. Let alone thinking about Christmas.. ‘Really.’ I have no idea how many think as I do, but I don’t mind waiting a bit to think about Christmas.. It’s not on my to do list yet.’

DSCN1666.JPG           This beautiful plant, is holding water in it’s up turned leaves…

This Thursday was nice and comfortable, with wind, and sun shine.. I did sit outside to take in the beauty of this day.. I sat in the rocker with one of my dogs beside me, and rocked back and forth for what seemed like a long time.. I played that game I love so much.. ‘NOT!’ It helped me pass the time while I got some sun.. I didn’t tan, just sat there and enjoyed the day.. It is still very nice out, but the breeze is getting a lot cooler than earlier today.. Either way, I loved it.. I seen a little chipmunk sitting on the railing of the fence and he was frozen in spot.. The dog was barking at him and I guess he figured, if I don’t move he can’t see me.. Silly logic, but it worked.. I chased the dog into the house and the chipmunk went on his way.. You know I tried the not moving approach.. A lot of good that did me.. I got run over by the dogs.. I ain’t trying that again.. You know I have the craziest little dogs around.. They love to bark at anything, and I mean anything.. They bark at a person talking a few yards down from ours.. They bark at other dog barks.. They drive me nuts.. I know it’s in their nature to bark, but give me a break.. ‘I’ve had enough.’ I have collars, and a sonic house that emits a sound they can hear.. It works, but I feel bad using these things on them all the time.. I think it is just my guilt that makes me feel bad about it… They know how to use their inside voice.. Which is a low woof, and the sign is thumb pressing together with fingers.. Like a duck beak… ‘Why can’t they be quiet?’ I love them and they have always been here for me when no one else was here..

DSCN1679.JPG            This is the chipmunk trying not to be seen by the dog..

Thursday was vet day for Doo.. Yes, her name is Doo.. She is my shadow, and sits as close as she can get to ya.. She is a treasure, that I would never give up.. She has been having some problems with her feet, and licks them a lot.. A little more than I would like her to do.. But, she is doing well, and has a couple meds to take.. By the end of them she should be as right as rain.. This weekend there is a western day, and a crash up burby on and I would surely like to go and see it.. There are a lot more things going on in our area, but some of them do not appeal to me.. The temperatures over the next few days will pretty much be a carbon copy of today.. I like the sounds of that.. In a matter of two weeks the children will be heading back to school.. I can almost hear the happy cheers of parents.. A young fella down the street was showing off his new back pack to anyone that would listen to him.. He’s a talker and runs like the wind.. ‘Oh, to have that much energy again.’ “I would likely hurt myself pretty bad..” “This body isn’t what it used to be when I was younger..”  ‘Hey, I have aged gracefully, and earned every wrinkle I have on my face.’

DSCN1673.JPG              I believe this is a corn flower..

I leave you with this lovely flower… It’s petals curve in such a way that they look like they could spin around in the wind.. This girl has to be on her way.. I wish you all a wonderful Friday and a fabulous weekend.. Till later.. Don’t go running through poison Ivy….

Impending storm…

This is my banter for Wednesday August 21st…

Hi there:: It’s really nice to see all your smiling faces out there.. How was your Tuesday?? I hope it was great, and another day gone this week.. We are on Hump Day, and there is no other way to go from here but to the weekend.. It’s funny how people use the weekend as carrot to get them through the week.. It was the only way I could get through the week when I used to work.. Then, when the weekend comes, there is not enough time to do all the things you like to do on your time off.. We all shuffle our feet, pouting, kicking and screaming all the way back to work on Monday.. I vote for four day weeks and long weekends every week.. Now a days, there is very little time for family. We hustle here and there, for this and that.. Whatever happened to just saying, to heck with it all and just kick back and relax.. We all strive too much for the all mighty dollar.. The more we have, the more we want.. That includes me as well.. Life is too short.. Tomorrow, could be our last day.. As morbid as it seems that’s how life goes.. I long for the Sunday dinner, and nothing but family time.. It’s a waste to have given that up for our desirer to be rich.. I don’t know if any body thinks or feels the same as I do.. Life is passing by way too fast.. I’m getting older, and haven’t quite come to terms with that..

Tuesday was a hot one in my part of the world.. Kind of muggy. But, curiously there was a warm yet calming breeze.. I ventured out to water the plants, and hang out with the dogs. The skies above look pretty dark at times, but there was no rain.. After dinner we watched the news and found out that our area is right on the tail of a storm.. About thirty minutes ago the rain fell in large drops, but only lasted a bit of time.. The good old weather man said the storm was going to be a big one. He gave everyone a few  signs to watch out for in the skies.. When the rain was tapping on the gazebo, the sky was greenish black, with the sun shining off in the distance.. That may have been it.. If that’s the case, that’s a bonus.. At this point there is a lot of the day to go through.. There maybe more rain.. I would be very unhappy if I woke up with the wind slapping against the bedroom window. With things flying every where.. That’s not a way to wake up.. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that doesn’t happen.. Whatever happens I will be here snuggled in with the dogs.. Where ever you are I hope and pray that you are safe..

DSCN1597.JPG               This is Sun flower plant…

There is a story to this plant.. It started to grow in spring, in a pot on the deck after the winter.. We had no idea what it could be, nor how it got there.. I didn’t plant it, nor did my hubby.. It just appeared in the pot.. While it was growing the top of the plant was snipped off and taken by a nasty squirrel.. Not only did it take off the top, it took it with him.. We figured that was the end of the plant.. We did not get rid of it, we just left it there on the deck.. A few weeks ago the plant started to get blossoms on it.. During the time that happening, we found out what the plant was… Guess what it is a Sun flower.. So, the mystery of the unknown plant has been solved.. My day has been a slow one with not too much to do.. I played that nerve bending game. I won a couple times but now I am stuck in the same place.. Crap!!! I’ve almost been near the point of deleting it off my device.. But that would make me feel like a quitter.. No way will I let this game beat me.. ‘I will fight to the end!’ ‘I don’t know if my nerves can last that long.’ So, if you see me wondering around the streets in a daze, you will know the game won.. Till later.. Take care of those you love, and never take a wooden nickel… 🙂 🙂

I would like to thank all those who read my banter each day.. 🙂 🙂  The photos in my banter have been taken by myself.. Hope you enjoy them.. 🙂 🙂

Sally and Jody had bought a surprise for the children after they had eaten their supper. Everyone walked down the lane to wait for the bus to drop Tory off. Sally politely asked the bus driver to allow Amber to get off at Tory’s house, just this one time.

Tory was a lucky young man. Papa had made him a secret place under the big stairs where he could read. Papa called Tory his ‘Mini Me.’ Tory was not happy when he found out what was going to happen today.
