The day was the best, as we stood gazing at the lake…
This is my blurb for Tuesday October 22nd…
We stood mesmerized by the way the bright sunlight sparkled on the calmly rippling water.. We could have stood there forever and enjoyed the still, stress re-leaving, calmness around us… We were immersed in the beauty that held us in it’s grip.. Mother Nature was showing off her beauty on this Fall day.. With her warm finger tips, she touched each tree, turning them to golds, reds, coppers, and yellows.. Our eyes took in the colors around us..
Every part of the lake drew us in to it’s beauty..
This was God’s country and we had a front row seat…
So much to see in such a large space…
A feast for the eyes…
This photo was extra ordinary.. I see this photo as a painting and not your typical photograph….
We have a sweet little Pug that has a mind of her own.. When she doesn’t want to do anything, or go near water she will plant her feet and not move.. We took a walk through the woods on a trail. Our Pug did really well until the walk back to the car came around.. Our sweet little Pug was done, pooped out, and dragging her little butt as she walked.. She would stop, rest up and then move on a bit further.. Needless to say the trek back to the car took longer than we had expected..
This photo shows just how beautiful the lake really is and how close we are to the water..
As you can see, our Pug is not going any closer to the water.. I guess the vastness of the body of water must have freaked her out.. She was ‘NOT’ going any closer to that water.. Her feet are planted firmly in one spot.. Her harness is being strained by the tension on the leash.. She is quite funny and we had some pretty good laughs over her stubbornness.. Even when I pick this photo to share with all of you I could not help but laugh again.. Each one of our pups have quirks all their own… All in all we enjoyed our time spent at the lake that day..:) 🙂
I will leave everyone with well wishes, and blessings for a good day on this Tuesday October 22nd.. Keep safe and help others when you can.. Till Wednesday, keep movin’ on.. 🙂 🙂
Diamonds in the water, created by the bright sun light…
Happy Monday everyone:: This weekend has come and gone in what seems like a streak of lightening.. I also found the heat and mugginess to be similar to the middle of summer… Our Monday is to be a repeat of the past few days.. And there is supposed to be rain mixed in with the heat.. ‘Oh boy.’ ‘I’m sure looking forward to a day like that again.’ ‘If you believe that, then I have some swamp land I could sell you.’ I detest days when your sweating so bad that your clothes are clinging to you and every time you turn your head your hair sticks across your face.. Times like that make me feel a lot growly.. And quite unpleasant.. I trust all of you had a good weekend, and your families are safe and healthy.. Did everyone have a relaxing weekend?? Did anyone go out on any adventures, or do something out of the ordinary?? I hope you did as it’s healthy to step it up, and change your usual day.. I find that it feels good to give something new a chance.. Get out there.. Go to the forest, and watch the wild life there.. Or go paddle a canoe on the lake.. Make some memories.. An old saying said; variety is the spice of life.. And it sure is.. Don’t get caught up in a rut..
One duck doing his own thing..
This weekend we did something out of the usual to my surprise.. We went to the water front and sat listening to music.. The band was amazing.. They had the people tapping, and stomping their feet to the music.. It was a nice change from the everyday grind.. There was what we call a ‘Super Hero Stomp’ at the water front… I was super excited to get a few pictures of the super hero’s.. I got a couple.. To tell you the truth I was somewhat disappointed with the turn out.. I was expecting more people.. That’s what I get for expecting a grander event.. But, all in all the day was not a loss.. I took a lot of water front photographs that I need to go through yet.. In time, I’m not in a big rush.. I wanted to take a drive to a tower that lets you see the whole bay we live by.. It would have been nice, but my hips were way to sore for me to make the hike up the top.. I’m hoping next weekend I will be in less pain so I can make the climb… Even if it’s only half way up… The sight will be breath taking with the fall colors.. I can’t wait to take some beauty photos.. I have noticed that we have had a cat visitor hanging around the back yard.. That’s not a good thing.. The squirrels, birds and chipmunks are not fond of the cat.. The cat is pure black and has the most beautiful eyes… He sports a collar and a tag, so I know he has a home..
The landscaping at this waterfront is beautiful..
This looks like a train done from the artist’s imagination.. It looked quite nice, and the plants do it justice.. Very pretty.. The water front had many birds, people, and even the odd chipmunk scampering around.. Boats and more boats.. Even a small cruise type boat, came into port to drop off passengers and pick up more passengers for a spin around the lake.. The line up to get on the boat was pretty long.. We would like to go on a dinner cruise one of these days.. I think it would be a fun experience.. As long as I don’t get sea sick.. I have found that I have a tendency to experience that from time to time.. If we don’t get to it this year then it will be a must for next year.. As I sit here tired and ready to end my day.. It’s Sunday night, and it’s warm in the house and outside.. I definitely can’t go outside to cool off, so going to bed soon and turning on the air in the bedroom will help me sleep.. I keep checking the peppers I am growing and they are doing so well.. At the rate they are growing I should have fresh peppers in a couple weeks.. Next year I want to plant a garden similar to how my grandma used to plant them.. Her gardens were very beautiful..
A calming place to sit and watch the world go by…
I hope Monday for everyone is as pleasant as it can be.. I know Mondays are not received well by any of us.. But they keep returning each week to antagonize all of us.. So stiff upper lip, and before you know it the day will be over.. Well I am heading to a nice cozy bed.. Take care and please be safe.. Till later.. Have a reasonable Monday… 🙂 🙂
Hey readers thanks for making my day with your visits.. Thanks 🙂 🙂 Just some more of my photos.. Hope you enjoy them… :0 🙂
Hello everyone.. I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend. The weather here was very hot during the day and cooler in the evenings. Nights like this always make sleeping a little more enjoyable. In my little corner of the universe, we had a gathering of artisans selling their wares. A Festival, that falls on the first long weekend of August. The walkway along the lake, was packed with people, everyday during the long weekend. There are lots of artists that flock to this area, just for the chance to explore the works of others. Or, to have their talents recognized by other artists. There were countless people looking for just that one item that would add a special touch to their surroundings. For those on the hunt for food, there was plenty to eat, beer to drink, and even a few ice-cream venders. I think they used to be called them the Dickie-Dee. These were carts that stood stable in one area. Heck, you could even find the right size of hot tub, or Infinity pool to install in your back yard. You could even put it in your house, for year round fun and exercise. That sounds like a very good deal.. Just think, splashing around in a nice warm pool, while you watch the snow fall outside. ‘What a way to live…’ You could add a new barbeque to the list of summer items you desire. One with three cooking grills, or one that could be used as an entire part of an outdoors kitchen design. The uses and designs are endless…
Two baby Robins waiting for mom or dad to return with food for them…
As we moved along the walking path, we can upon a carnival set up with rides for the young and the old. Carnival games that required no skill to win. Then, there are other games that take a lot of talent to win, or just a big pocket of money to buy that one stuff toy for a loved one.. Cotton candy, caramel popcorn, candied apples, hot dogs, fries, burgers, and ice-cream by the buckets. Frozen treats to cool you down, and coffee just to give you that little kick you needed to continue on your way. The screams of excited children, as the rides tossed them from side to side, and up and down. The sounds of the carnival ringing in your ears, as music played loudly. So loud that it made me think that there was a contest going on for the loudest noise…. Parents taking pictures of children franticly waving from a ride that will likely scar them to death. Parent patiently standing still, watching, and waiting till the ride stops. The endless trek to the next ride, then wait all over again… ‘Oh, the fun of the carnival.’ The memories playing in your head of your youth, and how you want to run away with the carnival.. The time you barfed on Peggy-Sue, and how mad she was that day on the whirl-around.. What away to find out spinning was not your thing.
Fading with time, while new blooms wait to appear…..
The lake filled with parents and children of all ages.. The shade of the trees, where lovers sit and play with their cell phones. ‘Oh, where did love go.’ Picnics on the grass by the lake. The smell of hot dogs, fried chicken, or maybe even take out.. The life guard perched high on a chair, above those seeking the cool of the water.. Little children running away from the small waves the lap upon the shore. Standing still in the water, watching the little fish nibble at your toes… The fun and beauty of a summers day by the lake. Softer music can be heard from the voice of a song bird, as she sings her tune to the people watching in the crowd. Groups on the stage, belting out the tunes, as people dance to the beat. The sounds of a summer festival.. We are now in August, and summer is slipping slowly away. The stores are stocked with back-to-school items. No more summer clothing can be found, as the clothes have been carefully packed away. The sounds of parents and unhappy children shopping in the stores. Parents on edge, as young Johnny decides to run away from them. There he is playing in the toy section of the store. Soon winter clothes, boots and coats will fill the hangers, where summer clothing once hung. Stop rushing the winter retailers. It’s too darn depressing to even think of, at least for me.
To all those, that go to any-kind of festival, carnival, picnic by the lake, or family outing. I wish you all fun and safe journeys.. See you later…. 🙂 🙂
I wish to thank all of my followers, readers, or visitor for being so patient this last week while I was off.. Thank you… 🙂 🙂 As usual the photos in this banter have been taken by myself.. Maggie.. Hope you enjoy.. 🙂 🙂
This past week was rough at times, and still the head aches leave me unable to function. But, I press on and try to not let them stop me. If the weather is to blame, I wish it would stop bothering me. I do feel better than before, but not quite totally healthy. I choose not to go to the doctor as they tend to be quacks, who have no idea what they are doing. I have learned techniques to put my pain at bay. It helps the bad pain disappear. The lingering pain is a pain in the butt, but I will settle for that…. Till later… I wish you all well.. And be safe out there…:) 🙂
Daisy’s father looked like a natural at the helm of Dave’s yacht. Dad was so excited, and fell in love with the yacht the minute he boarded. Daisy could not believe that something this beautiful could be her chariot for the day.
After a great day in town, and watching the sun drop down from the sky. Dave invited everyone to his camp site to have dinner. A fishing and swimming day had been planned for the next day. Daisy’s dad was so excited to have the chance to fish with Dave.
Daisy was very happy with the attention Dave was giving her. He held her hand and did not let it go for the rest of the day. Daisy had found out a few things about Dave, and his family. Daisy felt sorry for Dave’s parents. Their life needed to be changed, so they could laugh.

It would seem that Daisy and her family had found a new balance in their lives. Even dad had become a happier, and more laid back kinda fella. The family had planned a camping trip to a well know camping spot.
John had found one of the students on a lonely back road. The young man James Burton was in real dire straits, and needed medical attention right away. John had gone and checked out a cabin for vacationers, who had heard strange noises outside after dark.Continue reading “Coventry Lake (7)”
Melissa was found by John and his officers. John had caught a slight glimpse of a large figure in the distance. And when he turned to look again it was gone. John and Devin had combined teams and were planning a trip into the forest.
