Margo…5

margo 5.jpg              As Margo aged her interests changed…

www.marionbell.com/margo-5

This is my post for Thursday December 19th….

As Margo grew her interests changed.. She had wanted to play the guitar as she sang her songs.. By the age of eight Margo asked for her first guitar.. Dad took her to a well known music store… The owner of the store helped dad pick out the best guitar for Margo to start learning with… Dad also signed Margo up for lessons she would take at home… The owner, one of dad’s old class mates pulled down a guitar that was just right for Margo…. Margo was so super excited to have her first lesson… The lesson would be in a couple days, and Margo could hardly wait… Dad had shown Margo how to hold her guitar and how to strum it lightly… Dad used to play a guitar when he was in school, and he never forgot the basics.. Margo was so happy that her daddy was helping her…. To Margo her daddy knew everything, and he was her hero… As Margo was near her tenth birthday the guitar lessons she took had become almost like a second action for her… She was doing well in her school music class… She was singing with the choir and her voice was sweeter than ever… Margo received a solo part at a competition between area schools… Margo’s voice led the choir to the number one school choir in their area.. Now that they had won this competition they would be up against the winners of the whole province.. This competition was a big one, the prize for winning was a trip to Greece… Margo was determined to make sure their school won this competition for sure…

Margo had written a couple of songs so far… One of her songs was accepted by the choir for the competition… The song was about all the little children in the world… It told a story of sorrow, happiness and the love of others… While the song was being sang by Margo and the choir there was not a noise in the crowd… There were tears of joy mixed with sadness… Even the judges were taken to tears… Margret and William were beaming with pride as the first prize was given to the school choir… Margo had tears of joy, while the whole choir was hugging and laughing with pride… After Margo had written a song with such emotion she had a conviction to write songs from experience, and love… Some of her songs were very popular and could be heard by the local station… Margo would be an up coming star, but not till she was much older.. Mom and dad protected their little lady and encouraged her to write and sing as much as she wanted… They both had dreams of Margo getting her education for her future…

Margo breezed through school, and was soon to graduate from public school… The next school year she would be on her way to high school… Margaret and William had a big pool party planned for all the graduation students and dinner with their parents and family… It was a gift to all the students that they knew so well… On the day of the graduation Margo looked so beautiful as she sang one of her songs to her graduation class and all the parents… Everyone was so proud of her and all the students…. 🙂 🙂

This is my story for Wednesday December 18th…

Daddy stopped the car in the drive way behind a bunch of cars… Margo’s eyes lite up like bright shinny stars… Dad took his time getting to Margo’s car door, and he could hear her saying… “Hurry Daddy” Margo repeated a few times… Dad had a smile from side to side on his face… He put his nose on the window and made a piggy nose… Margo was laughing at daddy as he stuck out his tongue, and put his fingers in his ears… Daddy opened the car door, and Margo was out of her car seat… Margo was running at top speed to the front door… Daddy was right behind her and caught her as she tripped on the stair… No scrapped knees this day, daddy said…. The door opened and Nani, and popi were right there to greet Margo… Margo stretched out her arms and popi took her from daddy… Margo grabbed popi around the neck and planted a wet kiss on his cheek… Popi laughed out loud, and Margo could see everyone around her laughing too… Margo tilted her head back and started to laugh as well… She was so cute as she did her pretend laugh… Nani took Margo in her arms hugged her and walked into the living room filled with relatives and cousins… Margo could see people in the backyard too… This party was the first Birthday party with her new mommy and daddy… Nani said, “hello” to all the people in the living room, and Margo waved… She was like a cute little princess… Nani took Margo out in the back yard and there was Abet waiting for her, and a lot of other people… Margo was a little afraid of all the people at her house… Nani held onto her hand and told her not to be afraid… Margo felt a lot better…

Margo was given a party hat to wear, and right away she wanted one that was just like her hat… No one knew that dad had promised to let Abet wear a hat just like Margo’s hat… Dad got a hat just like Margo’s and both of them put a hat on Abet… Mom had a nice lady come to the party and she was there to take pictures of Margo and the other guests… Margo stood right close to Abet with her hand on his back and the lady got a lot of photos of them together… Abet and Margo were together the whole day, and if  Abet felt Margo was in danger he would not let anyone near her… The clown at the party was the number one person Abet and Margo did not like… He was creepy, and daddy didn’t like him either… The clown just kept staring at the little girls and following a few of them around… It disturbed dad so much that he sent him away from the party, and was told NOT to come back… Dad called the agency and reported the clown man… There were a few ponies for rides, games, races, dancing, prizes and ice-cream with cake… Dad got water guns for the children and he told them to squirt the guns at the adults.. It turned out to be the best time the children had all day… The children talked about the water guns the rest of the day…

At the end of the day Margo was as happy as any little girl could have been… She had presents galore… It took along time for mom and dad to help Margo un-wrap all her gifts… Mom would help Margo go through her old toys to give to other children who did not have any toys… The next day mom helped Margo, who was so happy about helping other children be happy with her toys she did not need anymore… Daddy made a big toy box to hold all the toys Margo was given at her birthday… As the evening turned to dark Margo was pretty tired… Mommy bathed her and put on her cozy pyjamas and Margo went to bed… Daddy came up and read Margo a happy story and Margo fell asleep… Abet was sleeping on the mat next to Margo’s bed… This day was only the beginning of the many birthday parties Margo was going to have… Once Margo and mom went through all the toys she didn’t need anymore, they went to the children’s aid and gave the toys to the other children.. Margo gives toys to the children’s aid to this very day… 🙂 🙂

Margo… 3

margo 1.jpg                   Margo was very happy with her new life….

www.marionbell.com/margo-3

This is my story for Tuesday December 17th…

Margo was starting a new life with loving parents, a big house, and a dog named Abet… Margo’s bedroom was not too big… Just big enough for Margo to run and dance around her bed… Her dad had made her a bed that hung from the ceiling of the room… Dad had said that as Margo got bigger he would make the bed higher off the floor… The bed was big so Margo had lots of room to roll around in it… There was a head and foot board, and special rails for each side of the bed so Margo would not fall out.. The bed would swing only a bit, as dad had secured it to the floor… Margo was a big girl with a big bed… There was pink on the walls… One wall was fuzzy, it felt good when Margo ran her fingers through the fuzzy.. Margo would often sit on the floor, reading her books and rest her back on the fuzzy wall… Margo had a house to play dolls in, a big ball to sit on and bounce around the house… The ball looked a lot like a fat pony… Margo gave horsy the name “tubs”… The top cover on her bed was light blue very soft and fuzzy… Her sheets had teddy bears on them, and Margo loved to go to bed… Unlike most little children… She loved when dad or mommy read her a happy story for good dreams…. You could see that Margo had her daddy wrapped around her little finger…

Abet was Margo’s best friend… You could often watch the two of them running around the back yard… Abet would grab ‘tubs’ if Margo fell off… Abet would run away with the horsy once Margo got to her feet… Margo would tackle Abet, and the two of them would lay on the ground and look at the clouds… Margo would tell Abet all about the clouds and how fluffy they were… Abet was a big dog who was only three years old… He had soft hair, a cold nose, and loved to lick Margo’s face a lot… Mommy always said, Abet was giving Margo kisses cause he loved her… It was so true about the two of them and Abet would never let a stranger near Margo… Abet liked to lay on the Livingroom rug as Margo laid down beside him telling him stories… Margo had a great imagination, and Abet was just content watching her talk to him… They were buddies, and great pals… Margo was growing up, and so was Abet.. Margo was turning four and mom was having a party for her… Margo’s grand-parents, aunts and uncles, and some of her cousins were going to be there… Margo was super excited about her party…

Daddy and Margo had gone out to the movies while mom was decorating the yard and house for Margo’s birthday… Margo had a hard time going to sleep the night before her party… Dad had read her two stories, but Margo was so excited that sleep did not come easy… Now she was at the movies with daddy and the party was the furthest thing from her mind… The Disney movie, Little Mermaid was her favorite…. Dad had seen the movie so often that he would sign the songs along with his daughter… Margo never even asked about the party while the movie was playing… But, as soon as the movie ended Margo was asking all kinds of questions about her birthday party.. Margo wanted dad to let Abet wear a party hat just like hers… As far as she was concerned it was Abets  birthday too… Dad assured her that Abet could wear a hat just like hers… Dad drove the long way home, just to give mom, grandma and grandpa time to finish the decorations… Margo drove daddy crazy asking when will we be there?? 🙂 🙂

gran driving red lips (2).jpgMAGS…  Have a great Tuesday when you get to it… 🙂 🙂

www.marionbell.com/margo-2

This my fictional story for Thursday December 12th…

Margo, had been adopted by a very loving couple… She had stolen their hearts at first meeting… William and Margaret had spent quite a bit of time with Margo on their first day with her… At the end of their visit they promised Margo that they would be back the next day to take her home… Margo was so very excited, and could hardly sleep that night… She talked and sang to her dollies till she finally fell fast asleep… In the morning Margo was talking and talking to the staff… Margo told all of her friends that she had a mommy and daddy, and they were coming today to take her home… The staff was so happy for Margo… They never let her see how much she would be missed… Margo had her breakfast, got bathed and put on her prettiest dress… She took her dolly and went and sat by the window on a small stool… Everyone that passed by Margo would ask her if mommy and daddy were there yet… Margo would smile, and return to looking out the window…

Margo was dedicated to waiting and only left her stool for juice or a bathroom break… Not long after Margo finished her glass of juice, she could see a tall man and a very pretty lady coming up the walk way.. Margaret seen Margo looking through the window and waved to her… Margo jumped to her little feet and made the loudest voice she could find…. Mommy and daddy here for me… She was so excited… The front door was opened slowly and Margo was right there waiting… Margo ran to William and he scooped her up in his arms.. Margo kissed her daddy on the cheek and called him daddy… The grin on William’s face was un-mistakeable to all that seen it… Margaret had a tear running down her cheek as she witnessed a father and daughter’s love…

Margaret held out her arms to hold Margo… Margo almost jumped into her mommies open arms..  Margaret was so proud of her daughter…. All Margaret wanted to do is get out of this place and get Margo home… Margaret and William had a few last papers to sign and they would be leaving with their little daughter Margo… Margo’s life was about to change in big ways… She now had a mommy and a daddy…. With all the last papers signed Margo was ready to leave… Margo said good bye to all the friends she had made as she grew up… Many of the staff had tears in their eyes as they waved good  bye… Margo waved back to them all the way to the car… William placed Margo in her car seat then buckled her in tight… Margaret asked Margo if she was ready to go, and Margo gave a big ‘Yes’ from the back seat…

The family stopped to have ice-cream on the way home.. Margo loved ice-cream… After the ice-cream they drove home to their house… Join me next Tuesday when we follow Margo in her new life..; 🙂 🙂

gran driving red lips (2).jpgMAGS…  Thanks for joining me as we get to know Margo and her family better…. 🙂 🙂

Margo…

Margo.jpg                  Margo, is the main character in this fictional story….

www.marionbell.com/margo

This is the first part of my story for Wednesday December 11th…

Jess, Margo’s birth mother was only thirteen when Margo was born.. There was no way Jess could raise a child, as she was just a child herself.. Her parents had talked to her many times, in the hopes that Jess would give Margo to the children’s aid… This way Margo could have a better life in a loving family… Jess, finally gave Margo up for adoption… The day when the trip to the children’s aid came along, Jess cried all day.. She loved Margo, but giving her up for adoption was best for her and Margo… Margo was placed on the adoption list as soon as she received a clean bill of health from a doctor…

As the first year of Margo’s life unfolded, she was not adopted due to the high volume of babies that were up for adoption.. Margo was crawling on the floors, and mixing some walking into her crawling.. She was a friendly little girl who always wore a big bright smile.. Margo got a lot of attention from all the staff that came in contact with her each day.. Margo had begun to speak baby talk and by the time she was two, her vocabulary was way above average.. This could have been because of the staff, who always spoke her in clear sounding words… She had a lot of teachers in her early years, and that helped her become the young lady she was at the age of two… Not only did she have a great disposition, but she was as cute as a button.. Smart as whip, and she was a singer too.. Margo could always be found playing with her dolls and singing a lullaby to them… The staff often sang while they worked and she picked up the music she heard…

When Margo, was well into her second year, a nice couple named Margaret and William Peterson came to visit the adoption agency… They had found out over time that, having a child of their own was not in their future… They had been looking for a little boy for quite sometime… The Peterson’s were almost ready to give up their hope of finding a child to love… The agency had checked the Peterson’s and took the time to visit with them… They were very thorough when the checks were done… A police check was also done just incase the Peterson’s were child traffickers… Which they were not…  There were several trips to their home by the agency at unexpected times of the day… It had been several months before the Peterson’s were accepted by the agency…  Margaret was so excited and could barely wait for their visit on the following Friday… On the day of the visit to the children’s aid, William and Margaret were led to a room where they met the adoptable children… William was excited to meet the boys, and Margaret was really wanting a girl…

The time to meet the children was so wonderful and the little ones were so sweet… The children came up to say hello and tell them their names… One by one the children spoke with William and Margaret… Margo was the only child that sat back from the rest of the children… She was acting shy for some reason, and it was not a  usual act for her… Margaret spotted Margo on a stool at the far side of the room… Margo has a pretty doll in her arms and rocking it while she sang a song so quietly.. Margaret said hello, and sat on the floor beside Margo… Margo stopped singing and gave Margaret a sweet little smile.. Margaret asked what her babies name was and Margo told her all about her doll… Margaret was in love a first sight, and wanted William to meet Margo right away… Margo grabbed Margaret’s hand and started to walk towards William.. Right away Margaret knew Margo would be their daughter, it was almost like Margo knew how Margaret was thinking…  Margo walked up to William and said hello with a big smile on her face… She hugged William, and William was hooked… 🙂 🙂

Thursday I will be back with more on my story about a sweet little girl named Margo…

gran driving red lips (2).jpgMAGS…  Have a wonderful Wednesday when you get to it… 🙂 🙂

What if…3

Multiple babies born….

www.marionbell.com/what-if-3

This is my post for Thursday December 5th…

Things happen all the time, and usually are a pretty big surprise… “What if” Your wife was expecting, triplets… At the last visit to the doctors you were told that all babies where healthy and growing bigger… Okay, you are all prepared for three babies and all your families have been helping with the preparations for the births… As the days go by your wife keeps getting so big that walking is a chore for her…. The doctor says it’s all going well, and puts your wife on bed rest… It’s a week before the date of the births… The doctor books your wife into the hospital, and she is going to be induced the next morning… The nurses are all ready to take each child and take care of them… Kay your wife is brought into the operating room.. Kay will have caesarean births.. You have your armor on and you are sitting talking to your wife… The incision was made, and baby number 1 was a healthy girl… Baby 2 was a boy and baby 3 was a boy… Then the doctor keeps doing birth after birth.. The final baby was another girl.. You are blown away as the operating room becomes a flurry of nurses and doctors milling around.. You now have 7 babies… You give the family the news.. What are you going to do now?? You and Kay live with her parents, and room is what is going to be needed… What if mom and dad what to buy you a house for your new family… Would you want the house close to the relatives?? After all you will need all the help you can get… The births become a big event in your home town and all kinds of things are being given for the babies… The news paper has the big event on the front page.. Many people are ready to help when the babies come home.. Once the babies are at home, the house is filled with many people, and you and Kay can barely have time together… What would you do to have time together alone??? What if:  the family sends you away for a weekend, and Kay doesn’t want to go?? What would you do???

meteor.jpg                   A meteor hitting Earth…

What if: A scientist came on the television to tell the worlds population, that a meteor was heading straight for Earth… Also, the meteor impact is due in seven hours.. Would you try to get as far as you could away from the impact point?? Would you gather everyone you knew and take them with you?? The impact would set off a massive explosion that would be felt all around the world… The possibility of life being wiped off the surface of the planet was a definite… Would there be a safe place to go?? All Questions of what if:  There would be nothing that could be eaten, because of the explosion… Would you know where to look for water to drink?? What if: you came across a bomb shelter?? Would you move in there and hope for the best?? That would be a definite conundrum…. ‘What if’s’, can bring on just about anything, or any surprise… 🙂 🙂  Get ready for that which is out of your control…

gran driving red lips (2).jpgMAGS… Everyone have a great weekend and the days leading up to that weekend…See you all on Tuesday next week.. Be safe  🙂 🙂

What if….

thinking 2.jpg         What if you were asked a question??

www.marionbell.com/what-if

This is my post for Tuesday December 3rd…

Well, the weekend is over and we have snow… I thank mother nature for the on and off blizzard conditions we had Sunday… The roads were crapy and slippery, but we did okay out there… I watched my grandson Saturday and had a blast.. He is growing so fast and he is funny… He has is very own laughing style which is as cute as ever.. Oh, and I’m not just saying that because he is my grandson.. Our dog Doo, followed him everywhere he went… She even turned him around once or twice.. She faced him off, and he turned right back where he came from.. She is so good with him… He even took a nap on papa’s chest… Actually they both took a nap… I thoroughly enjoyed every minute with him, and so did his papa… Here we are and December has hit us full force… I’m all worried that what I have to give is not enough… “I know” What ever I give should be okay… I know I can only give what my pension tells me I can afford… We are only 22 days away from Christmas day as of Tuesday… 🙁  Oh well…

parker.jpg                                         My buddy…

This question has always crossed my mind a million times… The question is: “What if.”  I have many things I would wish for, and be thankful to get… But, those are wishes, wishes we all ask for.. “I wish to win the lotory.”But, I have no horse shoes, four leaf clovers, special spells,no coins for the wishing fountian, or potions that have ever made my wishes come true… I believe I am destine to be comfortable, in this life.. There will be no wishes granted, no special events, no large amount of money won… Grant you, I am thankful for that which I have and the people that surround me each day.. I am thankful for my family even if we have bumps that need to be climbed now and then.. I am thankful for my in-laws and the crazy they add to the crazy that already lives here each day… “You know” If I just won a large lotto just once, I could change the lives of many people that need the help… My plans have always been to give some of it away to sick kids, the SPCA, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and to my family members who struggle each day.. “Ya sure” I can’t ever see that happening… So here I am wishing and hoping each day.. 🙂 🙂

lights ours - Copy.jpg             Our outside Christmas lights….

What if, we had our own small house  that would be owned by us… I would be no longer worry about and be afraid of rising rents, that just keep going up and up.. Eventually, we will be unable to stay where we live.. That will be a very sad day when we have to move away from here.. We are on our fifth year renting this home… Five years of familiar faces, same neighbours, and great summers in the gardens we have grown here… I know we can replant the gardens, and get to know new neighbours… The thing that makes me the saddest is how far away would we have to go to find a place that doesn’t eat up all our pension??? Plus, how far away would we be from our family members and familiarities that we grown to know??? Where is this place?? And will we be fortunate enough to be accepted ahead of all the others that are on the search for cheaper housing… I have my dogs and I will NOT give them up to live somewhere.. I did not do that to live here, there fore, I will not ever seperate from them…. WOOF WOOF…

There are plenty of “what if’s” in life, and I will talk more about this topic on Wednesday December 4th… Till then.. Be safe out there…. 🙂 🙂

gran driving red lips (2).jpgMAGS…   Thanks for your smiling faces… 🙂 🙂

I have seen…

IMG_0570.JPG          Spider’s web, so delicate..

www.marionbell.com/i-have-seen

This is my thoughts for Wednesday November 6th…

I have seen, the dew on the spider’s web on a cold crisp morning in October… I have seen the fields covered with fog, and the fog hanging on the trees.. This beauty of paradise right before my eyes.. I have walked those fields behind the plow.. I have seen boulders of all sizes, as my horse trudges along dragging the plow behind.. I have seen the wheat grow tall and fall in the winds that blow.. I have seen the trees with fruit for all to eat… I have seen the corn so tall that you can not see above it.. I have seen the bounty in the fall, as the leave turn colors from green to gold… I have seen the call of the wolf in the cold of a December night… I have heard the wind howl out my name in the darkness.. I have been here before…

DSCN2652 (3).JPG           Sister and brother…

I have seen the smile of a child and the love he has for his sister.. I have seen the interaction between a sister and brother… I have seen their joy.. I have seen a mother’s love, as she holds her child close.. I have witnessed the strong hands of a father gently leading his child through life.. I have seen the child tumble and fall, as it’s tiny feet take their first tiny steps.. I have seen the child grow tall and strong, as they grow older… I have seen a family hold their lives together as one.. I have witnessed the end of a life, as age takes them away… I have seen a son hold his father’s hand for the last time.. I have know the memories left behind… I have seen a new life being born, as an elder leaves this earth… I have seen….

DSCN1489.JPG             The moon behind the trees…

I have seen the darkness fall, as the moon peaks from behind the trees.. I have witnessed the rivers flowing to the seas, and the bubbling water from the ground… I have been in crowds of people who pass me by.. I have seen friends come and go in the blink of an eye.. I have seen the horses run free, and the whales travel the oceans blue.. I have held the sun in the palm of my hand.. I have howled loudly at the moon, as I see the sunrise come.. I have walked this planet from end to end, and still I wonder far and wide.. I have seen the unknow, I have faced the devil and held God’s hand.. I have given my heart to one man to protect forever… I have seen the world begin and I will seen the world end.. For I will see…

Today’s wind…

windy day lady.png                           The winds blow…

www.marionbell.com/todays-wind

This is my chatter for today Tuesday November 5th…

Today the winds blew, and whistled through the cracks of the aging fence that surrounds me.. It’s sound was like the eerie creak on the boards of old crumbling barn floor.. The wind had done it’s best to take all the leaves off the trees.. The trees sit bare except for a couple along the street.. The skies had a grey tone to it.. The kind of color that made even the happiest person feel down.. Clouds piled on clouds filled the skies with a message of bad weather to come.. The wind is a powerful force.. This wind could knock over chairs, and anything not nailed down.. To walk in the wind today was chore taken by those that could fight the wind.. It was not a day for a senior to be out for a walk.. Blustery winds with a hint of cold.. Bone chilling cold.. The day rolled on much as it had started this day.. Just a, ‘I want to stay in bed’ kind of day..  I stayed inside as my to do list was pretty full..

laundry.jpgI had spent my Saturday attached to the stove and the washing machine.. The pile of laundry was growing.. Blankets and bedding were taking over the laundry room.. What was I to do but, put my nose to the grind stone and make it disappear.. I wondered where all the magicians were on that lovely day.. They would be able to wave their wand and all the laundry would be done.. For me there was no magic that could over come the mound of dirty laundry I had in front of me..  I took a deep breath and sorted piles of wash.. ‘Oh my god,’ I had eight loads that likely would take me the better part of the day.. I loaded one, and made my way to the kitchen.. ‘Darn’ I forgot to get the large cooking pots from the basement storage room.. I made my way down the stairs and returned to the kitchen with two large pots to cook in..

kitchen.jpgI gathered the vegetables that I would need to make chili and spaghetti sauces.. It will take me most of my day to have it ready by dinner time.. I sat at the dining room table and chopped up the wash vegetables I had gathered.. I had a case of mushrooms that had to be washed and cut up to go in the pots.. The onions and celery took a short amount of time to finish, but the mushrooms would take longer.. The meat was in the pot, and starting to cook on a medium heat.. I still had to get up and stir the pots every so many minutes.. I sure didn’t want this food to burn.. I added spices to the burger meat and stirred the pots again.. The smell of the spices and the garlic aromas filtered through the air..  I could not escape the smell that was making my stomach rumble loudly.. I continued to clean the mushrooms, and drain them on paper towels.. With a large mixing bowl in my hands, I made my way to the table..

vegies.jpgThe time had come to throw laundry into the dryer, and add a load to the washer.. I swear I went, what felt like 700 times down to the laundry.. Back up the stairs I trudged.. The pots needed stirring so that was my next move.. It takes a while to cook the meat properly, so I had time there.. The mushroom cutting was tedious, but the result were worth the time.. The running upstairs then downstairs became a repetitive, and my hips were starting to tell me that they had enough.. I added the tomato’s, and sauce.. It was time to put everything into the pots and let it cook on a low heat.. This was a big under taking that would make meals easier, when time was limited.. As I added each item I noticed the pots were getting very full.. It was time to get two more pots and lessen the amount in the large pots.. The stove I have is like most stoves and only has four burners to use.. Now, I had four pots.. Two of chili and two spaghetti sauce.. This batch was going to be a good one..

stirring.jpgAs the day went on the laundry started to disappear, and I felt pretty good.. My to do list was almost done.. The pots were doing just fine, and by six-thirty it was time to have dinner.. The chili was the best ever, and the spaghetti sauce was really tasty.. By the time the dishes were cleaned up and all the storage bowls and jars were filled, I got the time to sit down.. With a glass of wine and my feet up I felt content in my days work.. 🙂 🙂

gran driving red lips (2).jpgMAGS.. Till later.. Be safe..:) 🙂

It’s over…

DSCN2122.JPG        A quaint little town we passed through…

www.marionbell.com/its-over

This is my banter for Monday September 23rd…

Happy Monday everyone:: This weekend has come and gone in what seems like a streak of lightening.. I also found the heat and mugginess to be similar to the middle of summer… Our Monday is to be a repeat of the past few days.. And there is supposed to be rain mixed in with the heat.. ‘Oh boy.’ ‘I’m sure looking forward to a day like that again.’ ‘If you believe that, then I have some swamp land I could sell you.’ I detest days when your sweating so bad that your clothes are clinging to you and every time you turn your head your hair sticks across your face.. Times like that make me feel a lot growly.. And quite unpleasant.. I trust all of you had a good weekend, and your families are safe and healthy.. Did everyone have a relaxing weekend?? Did anyone go out on any adventures, or do something out of the ordinary?? I hope you did as it’s healthy to step it up, and change your usual day.. I find that it feels good to give something new a chance.. Get out there.. Go to the forest, and watch the wild life there.. Or go paddle a canoe on the lake.. Make some memories.. An old saying said; variety is the spice of life.. And it sure is.. Don’t get caught up in a rut..

DSCN2127.JPG         One duck doing his own thing..

This weekend we did something out of the usual to my surprise.. We went to the water front and sat listening to music.. The band was amazing.. They had the people tapping, and stomping their feet to the music.. It was a nice change from the everyday grind.. There was what we call a ‘Super Hero Stomp’ at the water front… I was super excited to get a few pictures of the super hero’s.. I got a couple.. To tell you the truth I was somewhat disappointed with the turn out.. I was expecting more people.. That’s what I get for expecting a grander event.. But, all in all the day was not a loss.. I took a lot of water front photographs that I need to go through yet.. In time, I’m not in a big rush.. I wanted to take a drive to a tower that lets you see the whole bay we live by.. It would have been nice, but my hips were way to sore for me to make the hike up the top.. I’m hoping next weekend I will be in less pain so I can make the climb… Even if it’s only half way up… The sight will be breath taking with the fall colors.. I can’t wait to take some beauty photos.. I have noticed that we have had a cat visitor hanging around the back yard.. That’s not a good thing.. The squirrels, birds and chipmunks are not fond of the cat.. The cat is pure black and has the most beautiful eyes… He sports a collar and a tag, so I know he has a home..

DSCN2169.JPG          The landscaping at this waterfront is beautiful..

This looks like a train done from the artist’s imagination.. It looked quite nice, and the plants do it justice.. Very pretty.. The water front had many birds, people, and even the odd chipmunk scampering around.. Boats and more boats.. Even a small cruise type boat, came into port to drop off passengers and pick up more passengers for a spin around the lake..  The line up to get on the boat was pretty long.. We would like to go on a dinner cruise one of these days.. I think it would be a fun experience.. As long as I don’t get sea sick.. I have found that I have a tendency to experience that from time to time.. If we don’t get to it this year then it will be a must for next year.. As I sit here tired and ready to end my day.. It’s Sunday night, and it’s warm in the house and outside.. I definitely can’t go outside to cool off, so going to bed soon and turning on the air in the bedroom will help me sleep.. I keep checking the peppers I am growing and they are doing so well.. At the rate they are growing I should have fresh peppers in a couple weeks.. Next year I want to plant a garden similar to how my grandma used to plant them.. Her gardens were very beautiful..

I hope Monday for everyone is as pleasant as it can be.. I know Mondays are not received well by any of us.. But they keep returning each week to antagonize all of us.. So stiff upper lip, and before you know it the day will be over.. Well I am heading to a nice cozy bed.. Take care and please be safe.. Till later.. Have a reasonable Monday… 🙂 🙂
