Today’s wind…

windy day lady.png                           The winds blow…

www.marionbell.com/todays-wind

This is my chatter for today Tuesday November 5th…

Today the winds blew, and whistled through the cracks of the aging fence that surrounds me.. It’s sound was like the eerie creak on the boards of old crumbling barn floor.. The wind had done it’s best to take all the leaves off the trees.. The trees sit bare except for a couple along the street.. The skies had a grey tone to it.. The kind of color that made even the happiest person feel down.. Clouds piled on clouds filled the skies with a message of bad weather to come.. The wind is a powerful force.. This wind could knock over chairs, and anything not nailed down.. To walk in the wind today was chore taken by those that could fight the wind.. It was not a day for a senior to be out for a walk.. Blustery winds with a hint of cold.. Bone chilling cold.. The day rolled on much as it had started this day.. Just a, ‘I want to stay in bed’ kind of day..  I stayed inside as my to do list was pretty full..

laundry.jpgI had spent my Saturday attached to the stove and the washing machine.. The pile of laundry was growing.. Blankets and bedding were taking over the laundry room.. What was I to do but, put my nose to the grind stone and make it disappear.. I wondered where all the magicians were on that lovely day.. They would be able to wave their wand and all the laundry would be done.. For me there was no magic that could over come the mound of dirty laundry I had in front of me..  I took a deep breath and sorted piles of wash.. ‘Oh my god,’ I had eight loads that likely would take me the better part of the day.. I loaded one, and made my way to the kitchen.. ‘Darn’ I forgot to get the large cooking pots from the basement storage room.. I made my way down the stairs and returned to the kitchen with two large pots to cook in..

kitchen.jpgI gathered the vegetables that I would need to make chili and spaghetti sauces.. It will take me most of my day to have it ready by dinner time.. I sat at the dining room table and chopped up the wash vegetables I had gathered.. I had a case of mushrooms that had to be washed and cut up to go in the pots.. The onions and celery took a short amount of time to finish, but the mushrooms would take longer.. The meat was in the pot, and starting to cook on a medium heat.. I still had to get up and stir the pots every so many minutes.. I sure didn’t want this food to burn.. I added spices to the burger meat and stirred the pots again.. The smell of the spices and the garlic aromas filtered through the air..  I could not escape the smell that was making my stomach rumble loudly.. I continued to clean the mushrooms, and drain them on paper towels.. With a large mixing bowl in my hands, I made my way to the table..

vegies.jpgThe time had come to throw laundry into the dryer, and add a load to the washer.. I swear I went, what felt like 700 times down to the laundry.. Back up the stairs I trudged.. The pots needed stirring so that was my next move.. It takes a while to cook the meat properly, so I had time there.. The mushroom cutting was tedious, but the result were worth the time.. The running upstairs then downstairs became a repetitive, and my hips were starting to tell me that they had enough.. I added the tomato’s, and sauce.. It was time to put everything into the pots and let it cook on a low heat.. This was a big under taking that would make meals easier, when time was limited.. As I added each item I noticed the pots were getting very full.. It was time to get two more pots and lessen the amount in the large pots.. The stove I have is like most stoves and only has four burners to use.. Now, I had four pots.. Two of chili and two spaghetti sauce.. This batch was going to be a good one..

stirring.jpgAs the day went on the laundry started to disappear, and I felt pretty good.. My to do list was almost done.. The pots were doing just fine, and by six-thirty it was time to have dinner.. The chili was the best ever, and the spaghetti sauce was really tasty.. By the time the dishes were cleaned up and all the storage bowls and jars were filled, I got the time to sit down.. With a glass of wine and my feet up I felt content in my days work.. 🙂 🙂

Pumpkin patch

DSCN2598 (2).JPG       We followed behind a long line of many others, as we entered the Pumpkin Patch..

www.marionbell.com/pumpkin-patch

This is my tale of a day in the pumpkin patch for Monday October 21st…

DSCN2599 (2).JPGThe day was one of those beauty days we dream about in the fall.. The line to gain entrance to the pumpkin patch was long, but moved quickly.. The sea gulls could be seen against the blue sky, as they circled for any scraps of food they could find..

DSCN2601 (2).JPG       We passed sheep, goats and a Jersey cow.. There was chickens, ducks, geese and various other farm animals..

DSCN2609 (2).JPG   A beautifully colored Peacock watched us closely as we walked past him…

DSCN2610.JPGTom, the Turkey followed us as walked slowly past his enclosure.. He looked so sad… One thing for sure is that he missed Thanks Giving dinner…. 🙂

DSCN2665 (2).JPGParents kept their children close as they made their way to the next, Bouncy Castle, bike trails just for the little folks.. Large bails of hay lay in patterns that gave children and some adults a place to play on.. A sand box filled with construction toys made a great place to show a child’s skills at loading a dump truck full of dirt.. A corn maze gave families a time to figure out where the way out was.. There were places to jump, run, or just a good old hill to roll down in the cool grass..

DSCN2646 (2).JPG    Smiling faces peered threw cut out holes of hand painted scenes depicting the farm…

DSCN2619 (2).JPG     The faint sound of a train whistle draws your eyes to a packed train heading around a hill with various displays depicting scary, ghouls and haunted towns.. All reminding us that Halloween is getting closer…

DSCN2620 (2).JPG    In the distance I could see someone waving at all that passed by.. On further inspection, it was not a human, but a creature trying to scare us away.. We pushed forward passing by a haunted house that had very load banging going on inside in the pitch black… The sounds of people screaming could un-mistakably be heard as people ran from the darkness and into the light..

DSCN2615 (2).JPG    As we turned the corner behind the Haunted House.. There in front of us were people in cages.. In cages!!!! What was going on and were we the next to be trapped with the other people in the cages.. I stood still watching as the cage doors were opened and the people were set free.. These were the wagons that took us to the pumpkin patch.. I felt more at ease as we loaded up and were on our way.. Slowly we turned a corner, and could see…

DSCN2708 (2).JPG   Horses grazing on blades of green grass.. They did not even seem to see us as we passed by..

DSCN2669 (2).JPG    A line of grave markers towered over the scattered bones of humans that were buried there.. The wolves must have dug them up and licked the bones till they were white…

DSCN2696.JPG    Hidden in the corn rows was a Saloon with men staring at us as we passed them by..

DSCN2675 (2).JPG   A large family entertained themselves, as the cook rustled up a mess of burgers to feed the hungry… The spiders climbed the walls of the shack to escape the heat of the grill.. We bounced along at a slow pace, looking for any other families…

DSCN2700 (2).JPG      We watched as a magic show, being performed for all who came to see the show…

DSCN2694 (2).JPG     A covenant of Witches, cast their spells our way as we sped past them…

DSCN2693.JPG    This fellow in the corn stood watching over us as we got off the wagon… This was the pumpkin patch we had all been waiting to see…

DSCN2705 (2).JPG   A field of pumpkins lay before us as children ran here and there in the hunt for the perfect pumpkin…

DSCN2679 (2).JPG       The hunt for the perfect pumpkin was a daunting task, that made the best of us tired…

DSCN2687 (2).JPG    People started to head back to the wagons to take their harvest home with them.. Cutting that perfect pumpkin was a creative adventure…

DSCN2711 (2).JPG    We stood in amazement at the small town someone had built in the grass.. This is only one of the many buildings placed in the design of an old west town…

We entered a well stocked gift shop and browsed around the many shelves and displays… Heading to our cars dragging our feet, we were done and proud of our pumpkins..

Thanks to everyone who came to read my words this Monday October 21st.. Election day in Canada.. Get out and vote for the future of your world, and leader who cares…

I have decided to write my stories on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for awhile due to over-load.. I will see you Tuesday.. Take care and be kind to others.. Have a wonderful Monday… 🙂 🙂

It’s over…

This is my banter for Monday September 23rd…

Happy Monday everyone:: This weekend has come and gone in what seems like a streak of lightening.. I also found the heat and mugginess to be similar to the middle of summer… Our Monday is to be a repeat of the past few days.. And there is supposed to be rain mixed in with the heat.. ‘Oh boy.’ ‘I’m sure looking forward to a day like that again.’ ‘If you believe that, then I have some swamp land I could sell you.’ I detest days when your sweating so bad that your clothes are clinging to you and every time you turn your head your hair sticks across your face.. Times like that make me feel a lot growly.. And quite unpleasant.. I trust all of you had a good weekend, and your families are safe and healthy.. Did everyone have a relaxing weekend?? Did anyone go out on any adventures, or do something out of the ordinary?? I hope you did as it’s healthy to step it up, and change your usual day.. I find that it feels good to give something new a chance.. Get out there.. Go to the forest, and watch the wild life there.. Or go paddle a canoe on the lake.. Make some memories.. An old saying said; variety is the spice of life.. And it sure is.. Don’t get caught up in a rut..

DSCN2127.JPG         One duck doing his own thing..

This weekend we did something out of the usual to my surprise.. We went to the water front and sat listening to music.. The band was amazing.. They had the people tapping, and stomping their feet to the music.. It was a nice change from the everyday grind.. There was what we call a ‘Super Hero Stomp’ at the water front… I was super excited to get a few pictures of the super hero’s.. I got a couple.. To tell you the truth I was somewhat disappointed with the turn out.. I was expecting more people.. That’s what I get for expecting a grander event.. But, all in all the day was not a loss.. I took a lot of water front photographs that I need to go through yet.. In time, I’m not in a big rush.. I wanted to take a drive to a tower that lets you see the whole bay we live by.. It would have been nice, but my hips were way to sore for me to make the hike up the top.. I’m hoping next weekend I will be in less pain so I can make the climb… Even if it’s only half way up… The sight will be breath taking with the fall colors.. I can’t wait to take some beauty photos.. I have noticed that we have had a cat visitor hanging around the back yard.. That’s not a good thing.. The squirrels, birds and chipmunks are not fond of the cat.. The cat is pure black and has the most beautiful eyes… He sports a collar and a tag, so I know he has a home..

DSCN2169.JPG          The landscaping at this waterfront is beautiful..

This looks like a train done from the artist’s imagination.. It looked quite nice, and the plants do it justice.. Very pretty.. The water front had many birds, people, and even the odd chipmunk scampering around.. Boats and more boats.. Even a small cruise type boat, came into port to drop off passengers and pick up more passengers for a spin around the lake..  The line up to get on the boat was pretty long.. We would like to go on a dinner cruise one of these days.. I think it would be a fun experience.. As long as I don’t get sea sick.. I have found that I have a tendency to experience that from time to time.. If we don’t get to it this year then it will be a must for next year.. As I sit here tired and ready to end my day.. It’s Sunday night, and it’s warm in the house and outside.. I definitely can’t go outside to cool off, so going to bed soon and turning on the air in the bedroom will help me sleep.. I keep checking the peppers I am growing and they are doing so well.. At the rate they are growing I should have fresh peppers in a couple weeks.. Next year I want to plant a garden similar to how my grandma used to plant them.. Her gardens were very beautiful..

DSCN2131.JPG        A calming place to sit and watch the world go by…

I hope Monday for everyone is as pleasant as it can be.. I know Mondays are not received well by any of us.. But they keep returning each week to antagonize all of us.. So stiff upper lip, and before you know it the day will be over.. Well I am heading to a nice cozy bed.. Take care and please be safe.. Till later.. Have a reasonable Monday… 🙂 🙂

Hey readers thanks for making my day with your visits.. Thanks 🙂 🙂  Just some more of my photos.. Hope you enjoy them… :0 🙂

Home again…

This is my banter for Tuesday September 17th..

Hello everyone:: How was everyone during the past days while I was away? I hope you were all safe, and had lots of fun spending valuable time with your friends or family.. The weather seems to have taken a turn towards the cool side of fall.. I don’t really mind that at all, and I embrace the coming of fall and harvest time.. The fall fairs are popping up all over the world.. The fall fairs bring back a lot of memories of carnival rides, fall fair foods, tractor pulls, smash up derbies, pumpkin pie, candy apples, and cotton candy.. I love going into the stables to watch the farm animals with their handlers proudly being judged by judges.. The smiles on the faces of the children as they receive an award for their animals talents.. Pies, pies and more pies.. Being judged and eaten with the delight of the patrons.. Fall fairs give use a time to break away from the humdrum of regular life.. A time to laugh, relax and indulge in things that are new.. So, if you hear about a fall fair close to you.. Go out and have some fun.. 🙂 🙂

DSCN2053.JPG       Taking a quiet walk through the woods on a service road…

The time away was glorious, and we have decided to go again in October for another get away like we just finished.. I can’t wait to see all the wonderful fall colors, as the leaves turn from green to golds, orange, and reds.. We ventured into some of the small towns around the area, and enjoyed the sights.. I took so many pictures every time we went some where else.. There was a bit of rain which left use in the trailer for the day, but that didn’t bother either of us nor the dogs.. I found the privacy amazing, as where we live is on a corner, and the privacy is limited.. My hubby Douglas seen some chipmunks but I never did.. I see them everyday at home but not one in the wild.. That’s quite funny.. I got to seen the monarch butter fly, and others butter flies.. I love the colors they display as they sail by on wisps of air.. Birds could be heard in and around the camp.. The lone goose looking for it’s mate.. The goose called franticly as it flew back and forth in search of the other.. I could hear the roaring engines of off road bikes, as they revved quickly by.. They never stayed long and their sound faded away in the light of day..

DSCN2283.JPG              The beauty of the night sky..

In the distance we could hear the voices of other campers.. But we barely seen them.. The time was just right to go and enjoy nature.. Douglas seemed to have loved his time away as well.. He didn’t seem to mind that there was no television, and no internet.. We were off line and only played games while sitting across from each other at the table.. A table that was a little on the unbalanced side.. It was funny when we put our elbows on the table and it would dip down and go up on the other person’s side of the table.. I wanted so much to fix the table, but I had no drill to fix it with.. At least it would have been a bit more stable.. It’s all part of camping.. At least it is in my books.. Tomorrow I will call and book our next stay, and pack warm jackets, and doggie sweaters, to keep us warm.. I can’t wait for the next get away.. We had a wonderful time this time, and we are sure we will enjoy our next outing..

DSCN2204 (2).JPG           By the light of the camp fire…

There is no better way to end the night off when you are camping.. We sit by the fire, and watch as the embers sail up to the sky.. As wood crackles in the heat of the fire.. As you can see even the puppies are all enjoying the fire too.. Take care of yourselves and be safe out there.. I must be running, and getting something accomplished.. Till later.. Have a good day… :0 🙂

I would like to thank all the wonderful people who tune in and read my banter each day… Thanks!!  🙂 🙂 As usual the photos are taken by myself.. Enjoy… 🙂 🙂

This is my banter for Friday September 6th…

Hello everyone:: Thursday went way to fast.. I hope your Thursday was an acceptable one.. We have come even closer to the weekend and a break from the money making hustle.. Driving down busy streets or highways is an endless journey many people take each day.. The countless hours lost with family.. The all mighty dollar calls all of us.. It shapes what we are and how we live.. Our habits, and our needs.. Sometimes it makes us who we are.. Our future evolves around money making.. We are slaves of the corporations that pay us that all mighty dollar.. We march to the beat of their drum.. It’s an endless march that is broken when the weekend comes.. Then we are independent operators of our lives.. We do what we want and when we want to.. For two or three days we are in charge.. Then after that brief escape we are poisoners again.. I thank god for the time we get to breath and relax.. So take in that deep breath and enjoy your weekends..

van - Copy.jpg                           On an adventure…

I will be on such an adventure for the next ten days.. I will not be posting any banter, from Saturday September 7th until the day of  Tuesday September 17th.. There will be no internet where we are going.. Hence, the lack of banter being posted.. There will be peace and quiet.. Away from the rate race, and city life.. We will be able to gaze at the stars in the sky in pitch darkness.. The only light we will have is the fire or lantern light.. We will be able to hike to the top of the mountains.. Look down upon the beauty below us.. We will hear the call of the wild.. The screech of the hawks, and the coo of the owls.. Birds will be singing.. The cicada will buzz as I lays it’s eggs in the trees.. We will hear the crickets sing, and tree frogs calling to each other.. We will hear the buzzing of the bees.. I will smell the fish in the waters before me.. We will hear the crunching of the branches as a deer walks past.. We will swim in the cool waters of a lake.. We can walk down abandoned railway tracks that lead us into the fog.. We shall walk through the forest haze.. We will see the shadows that follow us there..

P9230997.jpg        Railway tracks that lead me into the fog…   photo by Mags

We will feast on food that has been cooked over an open fire.. We will dance around the fire as many have before us.. I will feel the cool breezes caressing my face as my mind wonders into the light of the fire.. I will watch as the fire flies dance in the night.. I will feel freedom from that which is left behind.. I will visit places I have never seen, and talk to people I do not know.. I will be here where I have wanted to be for so long.. I will carry my camera by my side and capture the beauty I see with my eyes.. I can share that which I see with everyone I know.. I will gather memories to keep for all time.. To look back on the past, and feel calm inside.. For I will be there once again..

shadow person.jpg                           The shadows follow me..

I hope everyone has a great weekend and a good week coming up.. I am looking forward to the adventure that we are embarking on.. The time away is going feel like a renewal of my former self.. Go find your adventure, and rejuvenate yourself.. You’ll love the journey.. Till I return in ten days.. I wish everyone hope, love and peace.. This gal has got to get moving… Take care of yourselves and your loved ones.. Be safe when you travel and enjoy each day.. Till later.. Keep the shiny side up… 🙂 🙂 🙂 :0

I would like to thank all my readers for being here each day.. Thanks.. 🙂 🙂   I would like to thank all the fantastic artists for their creations in this banter.. Enjoy  🙂 🙂

This is my banter for Thursday September 5th…

Hello all you smiling people::  This Wednesday was hump day.. Just think we are half way through this week.. It will be Thursday soon, and we will be on the down slide to the weekend.. 🙂 It’s nice having a short week.. Before you know, it’s over.. I trust everyone faired the second day of school very well.. The teachers will be working hard to make classes as captivating as they can.. To grasp the attention of a child is a work of magic.. Magic that is spun by the teacher at the front of the class.. They are important, and we need them.. There is a possibility of a looming walk out… Let’s hope someone redirects this action by giving the teachers a decent pay and tools to work with.. Mr. Ford, should loosen up his purse strings, and get this fixed.. Education is extremely important to the future of our children.. Mr. Ford don’t use our children as pawns in your money making scheme.. Money that needs to be replace for frivolous spending.. I speak about this topic because of it’s captivating nature.. I don’t mean to go on.. Someone has too… I saw the parking lot of the college fill to capacity with cars today.. It’s nice to realize how many student are furthering their education..

DSCN1584.JPG            The water that flows here is refreshing and cool..

Have you ever been so captivated by a series on television that you can’t get enough at one sitting.. Well, I am hooked.. What can I say.. I don’t watch television much, but when something keeps me on the edge of my seat.. I’m there.. There have been a few series before this and they definitely had me captivated.. I hate to admit it, but this is one of those occasions.. Have you ever been that captivated by something? So captivated that your whole attention is directed towards that one thing.. People talk to you but your ears hear nothing, or you block them out.. I’m also captivated by the beauty of nature.. And all it has to offer us.. To be drawn in, and kept as a prisoner, with no escape.. It’s a very curious feeling.. One that I try not to let it trap me into thirsting for more, and even more.. The story line holds me wrapped in chains of silver and gold.. The yearning, that this bondage would soon be removed.. The breaking of chains to reveal the inevitable.. I will follow this path that holds me in promise of what is to come.. The dark secrets will come to surface.. The burden I carry with me will be lifted by one click of the remote.. Lead me on.. For I will follow this to the end.. To the conclusion.. I will wait on bated pins and needles till that time.. I am hooked…

DSCN1725 (2).JPG          The color of yellow and sun shine..

This Wednesday was pretty laid back and lazy.. I did manage to vacuum the floors and the rugs… There was a shower in the early morning.. The wind was cool and chilled me to the bone.. There was no thunder nor no streaks of white lights that light up the skies.. I sit her looking into the darkness of the night.. I do not see the images that are within this shroud of blackest night.. I sit as words whirl around in a tornado in my mind.. I raise my hand to grab that which is spinning by.. The words have managed to escape my feeble grip.. I raise my hand to grab again.. But, I have failed once more.. As the words dance away on the spinning circle of the tornado.. I will not fail this time.. The words will not escape me.. I reach and find in my hand words written on parchment paper.. What are these words I have before me? These words are not familiar.. I do not know these words.. I can not speak them, nor pronounce them.. Are these words from a place I have yet to go? Am I destine to wonder the universe? I do not know.. Is this planet really my home.. I lay the parchment before me.. I reach again.. My grip has caught something.. I look at my hands.. No words are there.. What could this be?? My fingers are stained red.. Have I found death in my mind?? I am captivated by the red.. I stare endlessly.. Do I know what this is?? NO.. I wish not to see that which is right in front of me.. I will not see…

DSCN1965.JPG          Deep inside this bee will find the nectar of life….

Writing will always be a whirling busy place.. I will find that which awaits me.. I would like everyone to love the ones you cherish, and be safe… This girl has got to be hitting the road.. Till later.. Never pass up an adventure.. 🙂 🙂

I say thank you to all my readers that stop by each day to read my banter.. 🙂 🙂    The photos with in my banter are mine.. Enjoy.. 🙂 🙂

This is my banter for Wednesday September 4th…

Hello everyone:: I trust your Tuesday was a good one.. I also hope all the children going to school for the first time, and those back to school had a fabulous day.. I believe I could hear the laughter in each mom’s voice as the children waltzed out the door and into school.. It’s time for a break moms, you have done your duty well.. You deserve a much needed relaxing day.. I already know that there are a lot of moms having separation anxiety.. I once experienced the same emotions when my first child rode away on the bus.. Fear not moms for the children will return with all the coverage of their first day in school.. The excitement the children will feel will bubble over into long urgent stories.. The teacher will be mention as will the new friends they had made.. Abstract paintings will be given as gifts to moms.. You are the one loved so deeply.. That is you.. Dad will get chatter about the first day, and see the art displayed on the refridgerator.. The rest of the school days will fall into order, one after the other.. There will still be stories of friends and fun had by each child.. Their confidence will grow, as well as the knowledge they learn each day.. Be proud moms and dads you have done a beautiful job..

DSCN1840 (2).JPGUnable to stand tall, this tree will become a home for other creatures..

I sit here, on this Tuesday night listening to the thunder dance across the dark skies.. A storm has come to play in the trees, and on the ground.. Broken branches whirl to the ground and join the many others scattered around the yard.. Birds fly for the shelter of trees.. They huddle and hang on tight while the storm rages on.. Rain lashes the faces of those caught in this storm, as they rush for shelter.. Lightening, sends a blueish bolt of light across the skies.. All that was dark is turned into a blazing white light.. But only for a few seconds till another bolt of lightening streaks across the sky.. I watch the rain tapping against the dripping windows.. Should I open the door and feel the rain on my face, as I stare into darkness.. Is there something there trying to call me out.. No, I will stand behind this pane of glass and use it as my shield from the darkness around me.. I will not be consumed by the shadows who are watching from the darkness.. The shadows that ride the white bolts of lightening.. I am safe in my fortress of wood and glass.. I am safe..

DSCN1853 (2).JPG         The downed trees lay motionless in the sun light..

All of a sudden there is quiet.. No more roaring thunder.. No more streaking lightening.. I watch by porch light as the night squeezes out the last drip of rain.. The storm has moved on to another place, where it will make it’s self known and felt by all.. This night has been one of wonder, and experience.. I welcome the rain again.. ‘So I don’t have to water the plants’.. The hose usually gets wet when I turn it off.. It sprays a burst of water all down the front of my clothes.. It’s funny, and I’m sure there are those that watch, and laugh.. I feel like a drowned rat caught in a flood.. Early this morning the wind was softly blowing.. It’s strange how things can change so quickly.. In a moment of time.. The storm will be the talk of the day, when the sun shines.. The word will travel fast as others pass it on in a flurry of incorrect accounts.. Now the storm has changed into the worst one seen in years.. The toll it has taken on the beauty around us is devastating.. Trees will have ripped from their roots, and sent sailing through closed windows.. The rain will have filled the streets where no one dares to go.. As the story is told over and over the severity of the storm has been changed.. News of just a rain storm with thunder and lightening is not enough to fill the writer’s space.. Everything can be changed and blown out of reality by the passing of the spoken word..

DSCN1835.JPG       The clouds look as though they are coming from the tree…

Just keep in mind that what you say will be blown out of proportion.. By those who loose contact with the real truth.. Their silver tongues, will waggle as long as they can.. Well, this gal has gotta get out of here.. Have a wonderful Wednesday, and be safe.. Till later.. Speak the truth.. 🙂 🙂

I want to give a special thanks to all my readers for your dedication… 🙂 🙂  The photographs in this banter are a product of my skills in photography.. Enjoy  🙂 🙂

Sunshiny day…

This is my banter for Friday August 30th…

Hello everyone:: We got to Friday, and we all know what that means.. That means the start of that long weekend we have been waiting for.. Yahoo!! Get your jeans on and your tee-shirt add some comfortable shoes and pack up the car… The radar shows Florida is bracing for a hurricane.. My thoughts go out to all that live in the effected areas.. Which means that some where along the way, we will be receiving more rain.. As it stands the whole weekend looks fantastic.. Sun and cloud.. It maybe a bit on the cool side so pack up those jackets, sweaters and warm pants.. Get out there for the adventure you have been putting off for too long.. It’s the dead line for the last long weekend in 2019.. Just be safe on the byways…. Have fun, fun, fun… 🙂

DSCN1825 (3).JPG        I found this on the top of a small flowering plant..

I think it looks a lot like a dandelion, but the curious thing about it is I looked for a stem or the reminisce of the plant but there was none.. I looked around under the plants around it, but again there was no stem to be found.. This thing seemed to be wrapped around the top of a flowering plant… The plant has bright blue blooms, and absolutely no white on the plant.. I would chance to guess, that it may be a caterpillar.. It’s just weird how it was just thirty minutes laterand wow it vanished. Today (Thursday) I sat in the cool winds and sunshine of the day.. It was so peaceful, and relaxing, with the exception of a few tiny flies that kept landing on my nose.. They seem to b not afraid of being squashed.. I got a couple, and possibly ate a couple more.. Yummy, protein.. Just what I needed.. ‘I was a little hungry, but not anymore.’ I seen a spider coming across the deck.. He was not that big.. So, I stomped my foot on the deck to scare him off.. ‘Ya right, he wasn’t afraid.’ As small as he was he charged at me at full speed.. ‘Freaked me totally out.’ I was on my feet and looking for something to kill him with.. I turned to find him and he was gone.. What is it with spiders now?? All of a sudden they became brave.. ‘Heck, I had one sneak up on me while I sat on the couch.’ I almost peed my pants it scared me so much.. It wasn’t because it was there, but that it charged at me.. Thank god I was up off the couch or it would have been on me.. I won’t go into what would have happened if he was on me.. :0 I don’t like spiders.. Period..

DSCN1802 (3).JPG       Squirrels.. One of the funniest rodents in my back yard..

Today I captured these two small squirrels as they played in the bird feeder, and chased each other around in the branches of the trees.. This little fella climbed to the top of this plant hook and balanced himself there for quite a bit.. He was looking at the dog, who was watching his antics.. As you can see his buddy is just chill axing on the top board of the fence, and he is watching the neighborhood… He is also sitting on the two by four at the top part of the fence..  Just waiting I  guess.. Or perhaps he is catching his breath..

DSCN1803 (2).JPG        His freind seems to be waiting…

No matter what we think he is doing… I think he’s watching me take his picture.. You notice, he is giving me his best side, and the little paw under the chin… Now, tell me he’s not a diva.. I have a series of photos that depict the climber eating in weird positions..

DSCN1821 (2).JPG

If I had to eat like that I would fall on my head, and I would never be the same again.. Look how he’s holding on.. It looks like he is defying gravity.. Here’s another shot…

DSCN1808 (2).JPG

Don’t ask me what he is doing here.. I’m wondering if he is watching the chipmunk underneath him on the ground.. No matter what it is, he looks pretty weird.. Now this a photo of him eating..

DSCN1805 (2).JPG

Darn, I wish I could hang on like he is.. On the rim of the feeder.. What a show off.. No matter what anyone has to say.. They are a delight to have around.. Even if the older squirrel picks off the buds on the daisies, and sun flower.. Heres another photo…

DSCN1811 (2).JPG

Another upside down eating pose.. What a ham… He just loves the camera..

DSCN1828 (2).JPG

This young one is resting with his butt on the owl.. You see, the owl gets thrown off the tree from time to time.. The owl’s eyes light up at night.. I have attacked the owl with two bungie cords instead of one.. The last cord they chewed through and sent the owl to his death at the bottom of the tree.. As you can see they have managed to push the owl on it’s side, as before it was upright.. My hubby told me this squirrel put his tail over the eyes and the eyes lite up.. Scaring the squirrel out of the tree.. He won’t forget that one .. Now he will really be after the owl..

DSCN1806 (2).JPG

We have these ornamental frogs on the tree.. The frog on the fence was not put there by us.. It was put there by the squirrels.. It is supposed to be under the other frog attached to it’s hooks.. We find the frog on the fence on the ground lots.. He’s easy to knock off the tree..

Well, that’s about it for my banter for Friday.. I hope you enjoy the photos, and my words.. Take care of those you love, and be very safe this weekend.. This gal is leaving the station.. Till later.. Rock on the smile you have… 🙂 🙂

Quiet Day…

DSCN1781 (2).JPG      This bee is harvesting as much nectar as he can carry..

www.marionbell.com/quiet-day

This is my banter for Thursday August 29th…

Hello out there:: Has everyone had a good day this Wednesday? I hope you are all well, and in great spirits..  Today (Wednesday) for me has been very quiet, and relaxing.. I can’t believe that I am yawning.. Anyone would think that I didn’t sleep at all last night.. I know I did, because when I looked in the bathroom mirror a strange looking creature looked back at me.. The same one that is there every morning.. I swear she waits for me.. I don’t pay much mind to this creature for she is my inner beast.. That which I keep hidden away in darkness.. Once in a while, this beast appears.. Her growl is fierce.. Her eyes shine in blazing green… Her nostrils are flared, and her teeth are clenched.. The red on her lips is like red fire.. I draw her back inside, and turn the key to keep you safe.. We all have the beast in different degrees.. Some can control their beast, and others live in the shadows of their beast.. There are many factors that cause the beast to stay outside.. Drugs, drinking alcohol, or just plain anger brought on by jealousy, envy, or greed.. I prefer to live in calm comfort, away from the beast with in me.. Only trouble can be found by the beast we all try to hide.. It is true that my eyes turn green when I an angry.. Normally they are blue..

DSCN1800 (2).JPG         The coming of fall has changed the plants..

Even though the plants become raggedy the bees find their nectar sweet as honey.. Fall is coming our way, and the gardens will whither and die.. When spring comes the gardens will be alive with color, and insects visiting each bloom.. I’m not looking forward to the winter, and the freezing cold.. The snow maybe cold but the puffy white mounds are pleasure for adults and children.. The fall is a beautiful time.. The leaves show off their colors, and coat the ground hiding blades of grass.. The little animals can be seen rushing around, stocking up for the winter.. Birds fly south, and winter birds arrive.. Various wild animals are on the hunt for a place to sleep.. A cave, a hole in the ground, a hole in a tree… Any place will do, as long as it’s warm and dry.. The breeze blows cool and strong.. Leaves fly through the air, and can land in your hair.. The once warm rain is cold, and miserable.. There are many beautiful parts of the fall.. Sitting around a camp fire.. Wrapped in a blanket from head to toes.. Sitting in your chair the cold is freezing your behind.. While the fire toasts your toes, and fingers.. When inside the fire place warms your behind, and warm hot chocolate fills your tummy.. There are good sides to every kind of weather.. Last night we did not get rain over night.. As far as right now is concerned the rain only sprinkled for five to ten minutes.. Not enough to fill a shot glass.. Maybe tonight more will fall…

DSCN1788 (2).JPG        Just starting to bloom…

I must say we are not far from the long weekend.. The roads will be teaming with loaded cars, trailers, campers, and motor homes.. Just remember with the long weekend the police will be out in full force on the look out for different offences.. Talking on your cell phone, drinking and driving, not paying attention to the road, and the biggest one of all speeding.. They will even be out on the waters ticketing the same offences.. So, be aware… If you have had a drink or two, let someone else drive that has not been drinking.. And if you are tired find a place to pull off the road and catch a twenty minute nap.. Then get coffee.. If we all follow the rules, we can all be safe.. I know there are many out there that think they are invisible.. That ain’t true.. So, buck up and follow the rules of the road.. Don’t become the next person on the road under a tarp.. Be safe…

DSCN1780 (2).JPG   Another busy bee..

It’s time for me to scoot along.. Take care of those you love, and be safe on the roads.. Till later.. Don’t pee in the wind… 🙂 🙂

Thanks to all my readers for coming out to read my banter… 🙂 🙂    The photo’s in this banter are taken by Me.. 🙂 🙂  Hope you enjoy

Weather change…

DSCN1742 (2).JPG             Bright colors to compliment a beautiful day…

www.marionbell.com/weather-change

This is my banter for Tuesday August 27th…

Hi everyone:: How’s everything going? It’s been reasonable here. Today the weather has been the best, and very comfortable if you want to spend time outside.. How has the weather been where you live?? I hope it has been pleasant like it was here.. Our weather man has thrown a curve into the whole weather forecast… He had predicted good weather for this whole week.. Well, this evening (Monday) the forecast has all changed.. It does not look good either.. It looks like we are looking at rain falls at 80% and 90%.. So, I guess Tuesday will be wet and very soggy day.. It’s a day for rubber boots and rain coats.. I just had a vision of a child with a yellow rain coat  a hat and big yellow rubber boots.. It’s actually very cute.. The boy is with his puppy. They are staring down at the puddle they are standing in.. The little boy starts to jump up and down in the puddle, as the puppy rolls in the water.. The kind of sight that can make you smile and chuckle.. It gives us a glimpse at our childhood times of the past.. It also dragged me away from the sadness of a day of rain.. Well, I enjoyed that little walk away from the negative.. I know, the rain is good for the plants, and the water table.. But, come on it’s nearing the end of summer.. All I want is nice going outside weather.. ‘Please’..

DSCN1701.JPG           Beautiful yellow flowers.. Can you tell I like yellow flowers..

I know it’s going to be the pits Tuesday, so I will have to figure out some interesting project I can do during the day.. I have plenty of those little cleaning chores to do, but Monday was cleaning day.. I can’t do cleaning chores both days.. That will be out of  character for me, and anyways I just don’t want to do it.. ‘So there’.. I could do a craft that has likely been lingering around here somewhere.. I could have a home foot spa treatment, that will leave my feet feeling rejuvenated and silky smooth.. ‘Hm’.. That seem like the number one contender for Tuesday.. ‘A little pampering never hurt anyone, even if you are doing it yourself.. I am presently doing the laundry.. So that is out of the equation.. I could eat junk food till I durst.. ‘Na, then I would just have to clean that all up’.. I could chase the dogs around the house with the vacuum.. ‘That sounds like lots of fun for me, but not so much for the dogs.. ‘Hey, I should be able to bug them as they always bug me’.. ‘What should I do?’  I’m very sure, that no matter what it is I choose it will be fun.. I hope you all can find something to do on rainy days, besides watching television.. Reading a book sounds like a good way to pass the time. I would likely fall asleep, and get a nap… Naps are made for lazy do nothing days.. I don’t usually nap unless I am not feeling all that well.. Then the nap is warranted in that case without feeling guilty.. My hubby usually has several naps while sitting up.. He always says he is looking through his eye lids.. ‘Sure.’  ‘I ain’t going to fall for that one anytime soon..

yellow and black.jpg            This beauty, was a big surprise that I found in my box garden..

Don’t you just love it when you find a treasure like this plant.. I was blown away by the way it looks so much like a Black Eyed Susan.. The leaves a different, and the fine hairs are so prominent.. It’s a master piece of nature.. I will have to save seeds from this one flower and plant them next spring.. I am a flower nut, and find much joy in having such beautiful gardens that my hubby and I work so hard on.. When it comes to this time of the season the flowers loose some of their beauty.. It is nearing the time to prune them back and prepare them for the colder months.. I maybe getting a head of myself, but I can see the weather change showing on a few of the plants.. I have one other picture that I took while visiting with my son and his wife at camp.. The photo is truly breath taking.. I was drawn to this flower, and the way it was situated if front of a tree.. The setting was perfect.. I hope you all enjoy this last photo for Tuesday’s banter…

This is a true sign of natures wonder…

I leave you tonight with this photo to gaze upon.. I love the colors, and the place where the plant is growing.. Take care of those you love, and be safe out there in this beautiful world.. Till later.. Enjoy life to it’s fullest..

I would like to thank all my readers for the time you take from your busy day to read my banter.. 🙂 🙂    The photos you see in my banter are taken by myself.. Hope you enjoy them.. 🙂 🙂
