Decorated…

IMG_5628.JPG           Decorated for Christmas…

www.marionbell.com/decorated

This is my post for Tuesday November 19th…

Well, the weekend has come and gone.. We are now into another week of  expected snow and rising temperatures… The snow that fell today,(Monday) was wet and heavy, and now the snow is melting slowly away.. Today, I had seven Doves in my backyard and on the porch looking for something to eat.. Before, they were on the ground they had all been sitting side by side on a branch of the maple tree in the yard.. It was cool to see all them lined up together… It was sight you don’t see very often.. I had a grey squirrel, that we see seldom.. He was hogging all the food in the feeder just for himself.. That little devil.. I ended up putting bird food out a second time later in the day.. It seemed like all the Dove’s were happy for the second helping..

IMG_5636.JPG      A Chihuahua for the tree topper…

We have our Christmas tree up, and on the internet there are many people showing off their trees too… Ours is small, but it satisfies both of us.. There are many of the usual decorations we use each year, as many of us do… We put a Chihuahua on the top of the tree instead of the usual angel or star.. The reason behind our tree topper is that we have two Chihuahuas that our the babies of the house.. I don’t know about anyone else, but I find that I have certain ones that mean something special to me… I hope you have favorites too… I have several photos of the ones I like, and I will try to explain why I like them…

IMG_5630.JPG

These two little ornaments are cute, and mean a lot to me and my husband.. These were made by Doug sister Wanda.. She made them in the likeness of my hubby and I.. You can see how they look just like us…  They are in memory of the passing of Mom… They have the breast cancer symbol on the front of them… I think you can see the symbol…

IMG_5633.JPG

The next three ornaments are precious to the both of us.. The ornaments of the Santa couple remind us of ourselves.. The minute my hubby seen them he said they looked just like us when we get older.. We were a bit younger then, and could move a lot faster without it hurting…  The Lamp Leg was from the Christmas movie we see each year in the month of December… A Christmas Story.. In the movie Dad has the award delivered to his home.. The anticipation was driving everyone crazy, as Dad torn into that wooden box.. The look on Mom’s face was priceless.. The way she tried to keep the Leg Lamp out of the front room window was honorable… Dad went outside to let the world know his award was displayed in the window.. We had been on the look out for the ornament for a span of time, and we finally found one..

IMG_5637.JPG

The Nutcrackers are an ornament that I seem to be drawn to, and just love the colors they display…

IMG_5641.JPG

The drummer boy is another favorite of mine.. He reminds me of the Little Drummer Boy…

IMG_5634.JPG

I found these two ornaments in an Auction… These are not just cute little mice, but they are bells.. Which you don’t come across everyday.. They look to be quite old.. I like them…

IMG_5636.JPG

This the tree topper we are using this year… My sweet husband bought this for me on the weekend.. He knows how much I love anything that is Chihuahua or Pug… Those are the dogs we have…

IMG_5629.JPG

This is a very welly decorated ornament that I came across a couple years ago.. The beads are so beautiful… Who ever did this ornament has some pretty good imagination and talent…

IMG_5638.JPG

Last, and the most prized part of my ornaments.. This piece is hand blown glass that has been etched with a most interesting design.. It is so pretty and I believe it is very old.. It reminds me of the ornaments Grandma had on her Christmas tree when I was a young girl… I hope you have enjoyed a few of my very favorite tree decorations…

DSCN2799.JPG          Even in the snow…

www.marionbell.com/its-here

This is my chatter for Thursday November 7th…

Last night while I slept… The snow fairy crept into my yard and sprinkled snow on my flowers.. The darn fairy forgot to turn up the heat and two of my potted flower’s gave up the ghost.. I really don’t like it when the snow fairy shows up.. The wind cools down, and freezes your nose and your toes.. Outer wear becomes heavier as the cold moves in.. We dress in layer upon layer of fleecy warm garments.. Wool socks combined with heat packets tucked inside our boots.. Gloves so fuzzy that you can’t even open the car door.. The snow fairy is a pain in the arthritis.. She makes each step seem like you’ve traveled a mile or two.. And closing your hands around a hot mug of hot chocolate is vertually imposibble… Give me a straw.. Oh, and the ice the fairy is an enemy of the arthritic senior…

DSCN2797.JPG      The changing of seasons..

On the news tonight I saw a young man standing by his first snowman of this season.. He looked so proud, and happy to have his picture put on television.. I love the joy that children have as they play in mounds of white puffy snow.. The smiles that beam from their faces as the race down the hill hanging on tightly to their sleigh… Flying high over bumps that have found their way onto the hill.. Laughter, and shouts of joy emit from their boundless energy.. My brother and I used to hold on tight to each other as our wooden toboggan raced down the hill at the speed of light.. Snow flew into our faces as we hit puffy patches of piled snow.. It was a great time had by both of us and my Aunt Ruthie.. Our little black dog would run beside the toboggan and try to pull off our boots.. Once we came to a stop, there was snow riddled with bodies and a dog licking faces our faces as we laughed.. The only thing that did not stop was the toboggan, as it traveled another few more feet..

DSCN2793.JPG    Still blooming after being dusted in snow…

I recently made a trip to the dollar store… The shelves were being filled with Christmas decorations of assorted colors.. There were an a ray of gifts for anyone at Christmas.. The toy shelves in Walmart were stocked with pretty well any kind toy a child could want.. The flyers each week are advertizing this and that for your loved ones at Christmas.. I reolize that it is nearing the season of giving and I am stressing already.. The amount of money people spend during this season is astronomical.. Unfortunately, my wallet is not so full of money.. I have always been a giver, and having to scale down on the giving leaves me feeling sad.. We are in need of a new Christmas tree this year, as our old one had seen better days.. It was very old and falling apart.. I have lots of nice ornaments, and have no need to replace them with the newer styles… Most of them hold memories of Christmas’s past.. 🙂

DSCN2796.JPG      So pretty but bit by the snow fairy…

As the weather gets colder and the snow fairy dusts us with more snow.. I wish everyone a safe place inside, and a warm place to sleep.. I wish you good fortune and happiness.. Till Tuesday next week, enjoy your time with family and freinds.. 🙂 🙂

I have seen…

IMG_0570.JPG          Spider’s web, so delicate..

www.marionbell.com/i-have-seen

This is my thoughts for Wednesday November 6th…

I have seen, the dew on the spider’s web on a cold crisp morning in October… I have seen the fields covered with fog, and the fog hanging on the trees.. This beauty of paradise right before my eyes.. I have walked those fields behind the plow.. I have seen boulders of all sizes, as my horse trudges along dragging the plow behind.. I have seen the wheat grow tall and fall in the winds that blow.. I have seen the trees with fruit for all to eat… I have seen the corn so tall that you can not see above it.. I have seen the bounty in the fall, as the leave turn colors from green to gold… I have seen the call of the wolf in the cold of a December night… I have heard the wind howl out my name in the darkness.. I have been here before…

DSCN2652 (3).JPG           Sister and brother…

I have seen the smile of a child and the love he has for his sister.. I have seen the interaction between a sister and brother… I have seen their joy.. I have seen a mother’s love, as she holds her child close.. I have witnessed the strong hands of a father gently leading his child through life.. I have seen the child tumble and fall, as it’s tiny feet take their first tiny steps.. I have seen the child grow tall and strong, as they grow older… I have seen a family hold their lives together as one.. I have witnessed the end of a life, as age takes them away… I have seen a son hold his father’s hand for the last time.. I have know the memories left behind… I have seen a new life being born, as an elder leaves this earth… I have seen….

DSCN1489.JPG             The moon behind the trees…

I have seen the darkness fall, as the moon peaks from behind the trees.. I have witnessed the rivers flowing to the seas, and the bubbling water from the ground… I have been in crowds of people who pass me by.. I have seen friends come and go in the blink of an eye.. I have seen the horses run free, and the whales travel the oceans blue.. I have held the sun in the palm of my hand.. I have howled loudly at the moon, as I see the sunrise come.. I have walked this planet from end to end, and still I wonder far and wide.. I have seen the unknow, I have faced the devil and held God’s hand.. I have given my heart to one man to protect forever… I have seen the world begin and I will seen the world end.. For I will see…

gran driving red lips (2).jpgMAGS…  Take care, and be safe till we meet again..:) 🙂

Today’s wind…

windy day lady.png                           The winds blow…

www.marionbell.com/todays-wind

This is my chatter for today Tuesday November 5th…

Today the winds blew, and whistled through the cracks of the aging fence that surrounds me.. It’s sound was like the eerie creak on the boards of old crumbling barn floor.. The wind had done it’s best to take all the leaves off the trees.. The trees sit bare except for a couple along the street.. The skies had a grey tone to it.. The kind of color that made even the happiest person feel down.. Clouds piled on clouds filled the skies with a message of bad weather to come.. The wind is a powerful force.. This wind could knock over chairs, and anything not nailed down.. To walk in the wind today was chore taken by those that could fight the wind.. It was not a day for a senior to be out for a walk.. Blustery winds with a hint of cold.. Bone chilling cold.. The day rolled on much as it had started this day.. Just a, ‘I want to stay in bed’ kind of day..  I stayed inside as my to do list was pretty full..

laundry.jpgI had spent my Saturday attached to the stove and the washing machine.. The pile of laundry was growing.. Blankets and bedding were taking over the laundry room.. What was I to do but, put my nose to the grind stone and make it disappear.. I wondered where all the magicians were on that lovely day.. They would be able to wave their wand and all the laundry would be done.. For me there was no magic that could over come the mound of dirty laundry I had in front of me..  I took a deep breath and sorted piles of wash.. ‘Oh my god,’ I had eight loads that likely would take me the better part of the day.. I loaded one, and made my way to the kitchen.. ‘Darn’ I forgot to get the large cooking pots from the basement storage room.. I made my way down the stairs and returned to the kitchen with two large pots to cook in..

kitchen.jpgI gathered the vegetables that I would need to make chili and spaghetti sauces.. It will take me most of my day to have it ready by dinner time.. I sat at the dining room table and chopped up the wash vegetables I had gathered.. I had a case of mushrooms that had to be washed and cut up to go in the pots.. The onions and celery took a short amount of time to finish, but the mushrooms would take longer.. The meat was in the pot, and starting to cook on a medium heat.. I still had to get up and stir the pots every so many minutes.. I sure didn’t want this food to burn.. I added spices to the burger meat and stirred the pots again.. The smell of the spices and the garlic aromas filtered through the air..  I could not escape the smell that was making my stomach rumble loudly.. I continued to clean the mushrooms, and drain them on paper towels.. With a large mixing bowl in my hands, I made my way to the table..

vegies.jpgThe time had come to throw laundry into the dryer, and add a load to the washer.. I swear I went, what felt like 700 times down to the laundry.. Back up the stairs I trudged.. The pots needed stirring so that was my next move.. It takes a while to cook the meat properly, so I had time there.. The mushroom cutting was tedious, but the result were worth the time.. The running upstairs then downstairs became a repetitive, and my hips were starting to tell me that they had enough.. I added the tomato’s, and sauce.. It was time to put everything into the pots and let it cook on a low heat.. This was a big under taking that would make meals easier, when time was limited.. As I added each item I noticed the pots were getting very full.. It was time to get two more pots and lessen the amount in the large pots.. The stove I have is like most stoves and only has four burners to use.. Now, I had four pots.. Two of chili and two spaghetti sauce.. This batch was going to be a good one..

stirring.jpgAs the day went on the laundry started to disappear, and I felt pretty good.. My to do list was almost done.. The pots were doing just fine, and by six-thirty it was time to have dinner.. The chili was the best ever, and the spaghetti sauce was really tasty.. By the time the dishes were cleaned up and all the storage bowls and jars were filled, I got the time to sit down.. With a glass of wine and my feet up I felt content in my days work.. 🙂 🙂

gran driving red lips (2).jpgMAGS.. Till later.. Be safe..:) 🙂

Day dreaming…

DSCN2555 (2).JPGThere is nothing like a walk in the woods…

www.marionbell.com/day-dreaming

This is my blurb for Wednesday October 23rd…

There is nothing better than taking a quiet walk through the forest on a beautiful day.. It’s almost a calming experience.. You can hear the birds in the trees singing sweetly.. They watch as you pass by.. The sounds of the drying leaves under your feet crunching as your feet touch them.. The crack of a branch being broken.. The fear of what maybe watching you or even stalking you has your eyes scanning the trees and the forest floor.. Are they there? You will never know as they are experts at the skill of hiding.. The sound of a chipmunk as he signals your arrival to his friends.. If you keep your eyes on the forest floor you may even encounter one as he speeds by.. A fluffy bunny must have been startled by your load foot stepping sound.. Run, away Bunny… They don’t even look back till they are in their safe place..

DSCN2552 (2).JPGYour stalker maybe closer than you think…

Little nooks and crannies to hide in.. Look closely to if there is anything there.. The breeze blows lightly down the path you have chosen to walk.. A spark of sun light warms the chill of the shadows… The echo of voices on the wind.. You turn to see, and there is a large brown dog is heading right your way.. There are  people with smiles wide, that say their ‘hellos’ then walk ahead of you.. I can almost smell the musty odor of the forest floor, and the thriving moss on the fallen trees..

DSCN2554 (2).JPGFallen, decaying trees…

The fallen trees left to rot away on the forest floor, tell tales of the sacrifice they have made to the earth, small insects, and new trees that hide within the forest floor.. The bark which once was their coat, no longer protects from the rathe of mother nature.. This tree is now home to the smallest creatures that need it’s shelter… A life cycle that has taken the trees from birth to death..

DSCN2553 (2).JPGFungus on a fallen tree…

A fungus now uses this tree as it’s growing ground.. A place to display their colors and shapes.. Their beauty is one of splendor to those that stop to take a look.. Everything has a place and a time to grow.. In my mind I walk on towards the smell of water.. The smell of the fish that live in the water and wait for the next fishing trip to be taken.. I can see an opening ahead.. The blue sky and the sun light squint my eyes half way closed.. I feel a gust of warm breeze, as I move away from the darkness of the forest… The breeze flaps my undone jacket, and tousles the hair on your head away from your face..

DSCN2568 (2).JPGThe water at the shore of the lake..

The water along the shore reveals the content that lies beneath.. The sun lights the rippling water as it slowly moves with the waves.. Red and white stones, fallen branches submerged in their watery grave.. Silt and sand lightly cover them.. The water is cold to the touch.. Your mind stops you from merging further into the dangerous water.. As your eyes look further across the lake you see blue water and trees of different colors.. I’m in paradise, as I stand gazing at the beauty of this place..

DSCN2569 (2).JPGA fallen tree…

A tree has fallen into the cold chill of the lake.. The sun will bleach it white, and the wind will whistle through it’s branches.. This tree will decay in time, and become one with the water it lies in now.. Nature has away of returning that which came from the ground, and in the end will return to the ground.. 🙂  Be safe and take care of yourselves.. Till later.. I wish you all good fortune, and happiness… 🙂 🙂

By the Lake…

DSCN2549.JPGThe day was the best, as we stood gazing at the lake…

www.marionbell.com/by-the-lake

This is my blurb for Tuesday October 22nd…

We stood mesmerized by the way the bright sunlight sparkled on the calmly rippling water.. We could have stood there forever and enjoyed the still, stress re-leaving, calmness around us… We were immersed in the beauty that held us in it’s grip.. Mother Nature was showing off her beauty on this Fall day.. With her warm finger tips, she touched each tree, turning them to golds, reds, coppers, and yellows.. Our eyes took in the colors around us..

DSCN2563 (2).JPGEvery part of the lake drew us in to it’s beauty..

DSCN2517 (2).JPGThis was God’s country and we had a front row seat…

DSCN2533 (2).JPGSo much to see in such a large space…

DSCN2518 (2).JPGA feast for the eyes…

DSCN2537 (2).JPGThis photo was extra ordinary.. I see this photo as a painting and not your typical photograph….

We have a sweet little Pug that has a mind of her own.. When she doesn’t want to do anything, or go near water she will plant her feet and not move.. We took a walk through the woods on a trail. Our Pug did really well until the walk back to the car came around.. Our sweet little Pug was done, pooped out, and dragging her little butt as she walked.. She would stop, rest up and then move on a bit further.. Needless to say the trek back to the car took longer than we had expected..

DSCN2525 (2).JPGThis photo shows just how beautiful the lake really is and how close we are to the water..

As you can see, our Pug is not going any closer to the water.. I guess the vastness of the body of water must have freaked her out.. She was ‘NOT’ going any closer to that water.. Her feet are planted firmly in one spot.. Her harness is being strained by the tension on the leash.. She is quite funny and we had some pretty good laughs over her stubbornness.. Even when I pick this photo to share with all of you I could not help but laugh again.. Each one of our pups have quirks all their own… All in all we enjoyed our time spent at the lake that day..:) 🙂

I will leave everyone with well wishes, and blessings for a good day on this Tuesday October 22nd.. Keep safe and help others when you can.. Till Wednesday, keep movin’ on.. 🙂 🙂

Pumpkin patch

DSCN2598 (2).JPG       We followed behind a long line of many others, as we entered the Pumpkin Patch..

www.marionbell.com/pumpkin-patch

This is my tale of a day in the pumpkin patch for Monday October 21st…

DSCN2599 (2).JPGThe day was one of those beauty days we dream about in the fall.. The line to gain entrance to the pumpkin patch was long, but moved quickly.. The sea gulls could be seen against the blue sky, as they circled for any scraps of food they could find..

DSCN2601 (2).JPG       We passed sheep, goats and a Jersey cow.. There was chickens, ducks, geese and various other farm animals..

DSCN2609 (2).JPG   A beautifully colored Peacock watched us closely as we walked past him…

DSCN2610.JPGTom, the Turkey followed us as walked slowly past his enclosure.. He looked so sad… One thing for sure is that he missed Thanks Giving dinner…. 🙂

DSCN2665 (2).JPGParents kept their children close as they made their way to the next, Bouncy Castle, bike trails just for the little folks.. Large bails of hay lay in patterns that gave children and some adults a place to play on.. A sand box filled with construction toys made a great place to show a child’s skills at loading a dump truck full of dirt.. A corn maze gave families a time to figure out where the way out was.. There were places to jump, run, or just a good old hill to roll down in the cool grass..

DSCN2646 (2).JPG    Smiling faces peered threw cut out holes of hand painted scenes depicting the farm…

DSCN2619 (2).JPG     The faint sound of a train whistle draws your eyes to a packed train heading around a hill with various displays depicting scary, ghouls and haunted towns.. All reminding us that Halloween is getting closer…

DSCN2620 (2).JPG    In the distance I could see someone waving at all that passed by.. On further inspection, it was not a human, but a creature trying to scare us away.. We pushed forward passing by a haunted house that had very load banging going on inside in the pitch black… The sounds of people screaming could un-mistakably be heard as people ran from the darkness and into the light..

DSCN2615 (2).JPG    As we turned the corner behind the Haunted House.. There in front of us were people in cages.. In cages!!!! What was going on and were we the next to be trapped with the other people in the cages.. I stood still watching as the cage doors were opened and the people were set free.. These were the wagons that took us to the pumpkin patch.. I felt more at ease as we loaded up and were on our way.. Slowly we turned a corner, and could see…

DSCN2708 (2).JPG   Horses grazing on blades of green grass.. They did not even seem to see us as we passed by..

DSCN2669 (2).JPG    A line of grave markers towered over the scattered bones of humans that were buried there.. The wolves must have dug them up and licked the bones till they were white…

DSCN2696.JPG    Hidden in the corn rows was a Saloon with men staring at us as we passed them by..

DSCN2675 (2).JPG   A large family entertained themselves, as the cook rustled up a mess of burgers to feed the hungry… The spiders climbed the walls of the shack to escape the heat of the grill.. We bounced along at a slow pace, looking for any other families…

DSCN2700 (2).JPG      We watched as a magic show, being performed for all who came to see the show…

DSCN2694 (2).JPG     A covenant of Witches, cast their spells our way as we sped past them…

DSCN2693.JPG    This fellow in the corn stood watching over us as we got off the wagon… This was the pumpkin patch we had all been waiting to see…

DSCN2705 (2).JPG   A field of pumpkins lay before us as children ran here and there in the hunt for the perfect pumpkin…

DSCN2679 (2).JPG       The hunt for the perfect pumpkin was a daunting task, that made the best of us tired…

DSCN2687 (2).JPG    People started to head back to the wagons to take their harvest home with them.. Cutting that perfect pumpkin was a creative adventure…

DSCN2711 (2).JPG    We stood in amazement at the small town someone had built in the grass.. This is only one of the many buildings placed in the design of an old west town…

We entered a well stocked gift shop and browsed around the many shelves and displays… Heading to our cars dragging our feet, we were done and proud of our pumpkins..

Thanks to everyone who came to read my words this Monday October 21st.. Election day in Canada.. Get out and vote for the future of your world, and leader who cares…

I have decided to write my stories on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for awhile due to over-load.. I will see you Tuesday.. Take care and be kind to others.. Have a wonderful Monday… 🙂 🙂

Go west…

DSCN2366.JPG          This an oldie but a goody..

www.marionbell.com/go-west

This will be my banter for Monday September 30th…

Hello to everyone:: I hope all is well with all of you… The weekend is now over, and for those who work it will be back to work again.. “I know, I know.” That’s a dirty word to say on a Sunday evening.. But reality will be kicking you in the butt soon enough.. I feel pain for all of you that drag yourselves into work on Monday.. But I guess the all mighty dollar has to be earned.. Anyways, Monday is the last day of September… I sit here and wonder again as I always do.. “What has happened to this month??”  Today, Sunday has been down right cold where I am living.. I guess fall has given us notice that it is here.. “I wish to ask a question”… “Does Indian summer come after the first frost, or in September???”  I would appreciate someone letting me know the answer to my question.. Also, Thanksgivings day is coming pretty soon.. I see a lot of decorations, and small squashes in the stores.. The dollar stores have displays for the table, and outside your home… You can purchase the goods to whip up a wreath for your front door.. All these items for a dollar?? NO.. They are sold for dollars… Not a dollar like we used to pay.. Now they are one dollar plus several dollars.. The place is not cheap anymore.. But it is a convenient place to pick up anything that is cheaply made.. No matter what we all seem to visit there from time to time…

DSCN2364.JPG           This is the drivers seat of this Winnebago..

I wish to chat about this beautiful machine from the past.. We entered this motorhome and found the old style steering wheel and column with the gear shift right there.. Also I have never been in one before and noticed that the passenger seat is made for two people, not just one.. That was fascinating to me and a bit curious at the same time.. The interior was decorated with the old styled colors on the furniture, and on the walls.. I love the size, and convenience of the kitchen and washroom areas.. This vehicle must have been a sight to see when it was new and rolled  off the assembly line.. Beautiful… You had to have a fist full of dollars to buy that one… 🙂 ” Go West son, they said…” Are you kidding me?? There isn’t any going west for this person.. It seems that the west gets the snow much earlier than most of us.. This weekend Alberta was looking at snow on Saturday, and Sunday.. The report said that the amounts would be up to 60 cm. of snow.. That’s why I’m not going west.. Saskatchewan, Manitoba and northern Ontario will be looking at rain but no snow.. Thank goodness for that.. All that white stuff can stay out west till I find my long johns, and that could take me along time.. For all those that have never had the chance to experience a pair of long johns.. They are winter under ware  that keeps you warm, and sucks up the perspiration from your body.. They are also part of the layer system outdoor people ware.. First long johns, shirt and pants, a sweater, a coat and so on…

DSCN2353.JPG           Another example of a vintage Glendale trailer..

The inside of this trailer, it had been spruced up and looked darn beautiful… I like the choice of colors on the outside and on the inside.. It was tastefully decorated, and had a lot of people commenting on the inside.. Lets put it this way… I would have gladly stayed over in that trailer for week..  🙂  Here in Canada the election campaigns are in full swing… With each candidate trying to convince the voters that they are better than the next guy, or gal.. I, like many have a hard time figuring out who is paying for the promises they are making.. Not one candidate has given that information up as of yet.. Heck, I’m just going to vote for the underdog.. Candidates seem to be living in a world where truth and honesty doesn’t mean a thing.. It’s perplexing and a joke to watch.. The things they promise will never be done with out the words of the party in second place.. There are rules and they are to be followed.. It’s a media circus, with twisted words and fingers pointing at the candidates with each word they say.. I’m glad I do not have to be in the drivers seat and navigate through this pile of  hollow promises..

DSCN2351.JPG      This is just one shot of the inside of the Glendale trailer….

As you can see the color scheme from the outside is drawn into the inside.. It is tastefully designed and caught the eye of many of the visitors who stopped by to take a peak inside, and ask question to the owners.. 😮 There are still a few more trailers that I have to showcase… I will be bringing a couple more trailers for you to  enjoy on Tuesday.. You have a wonderful Monday and be safe.. I’m off and running… See ya later.. 🙂 🙂

I would like to tip my hat to all you wonderful readers out there who pop by to read my words.. Thanks… 🙂 🙂  Enjoy the photos.. 🙂 🙂

gran driving red lips (2).jpgMAGS.. Thanks for stopping by… 🙂 🙂

Treading water…

DSCN2329.JPG         This trailer was owned by two wonderful people…

www.marionbell.com/treading-water

This is my banter for Friday September 27th…

Hello everyone:: Today I had a good day that included blood tests.. It was time to get them again.. The hubby had his test as well.. ‘Two birds with one stone’.. ‘Done’.. There has been so much rain today that I really feel like I am treading water.. “I feel like I should have my pant legs hiked up, and my hip waders on”.. Now I know what the plants must be feeling like with all the rain.. I trust everyone had a great Thursday as we come even closer to the weekend..  Friday is nearing it’s entrance into this week.. “Is it just me, or has this week been going by fast”?? You would think that time would be slow, and drag on, especially when a person is retired.. I think that maybe keeping somewhat active makes the day fly by.. When I was at the lab today, I seen a poster that talked about your DNA and prescriptions.. They are calling that Treat G plus.. It helps the doctor and pharmacist to give you the right dose, and the right medications.. You go on line and pay for a kit, and it gets delivered to your home.. You get your kit, swab your cheek and mail it out.. What could be easier?? I read a piece on DNA and ancestry and how some people did not like the way some agencies wanted to have the information collected.. Is big brother watching us or what?? It’s scary to think of our DNA information being for sale on the market.. There was a pretty big up roar about privacy.. I think we would loose our privacy even more than we already have.. Heck, it’s bad enough an employer could google you and find out what you are doing on face book.. Keep the things you want secret, just that way, and don’t blab them on line.. Period!!!

DSCN2334.JPG            Dragon Fly hitching a ride…

I was quite surprised to see this Dragon fly land on the marker light of this trailer.. I took a few phots, and he never left.. The view must have great from up there.. A great way to hitch a ride to where ever this trailer was headed.. The ride would be less windy as this is the back of the trailer.. The dragon flies around the campers where plentiful and of different colors.. Most of them would not stay still long enough for my camera to capture them in a still photograph.. This was the only one that stood still.. Believe me I tried.. Funny thing, I did look pretty silly running after a Dragon fly.. I wondered why people were staring.. :O At least I was not flailing my arms around like I was being attacked by a swarm of angry bees.. “Wouldn’t that be pretty funny looking??” The group I was with would likely has gone home and left me behind.. 🙂 No matter how you look at that it would have been out of the ordinary.. “Oh, by the way the inside of the trailer was quite nice, and was pretty well in it’s natural state..

DSCN2314.JPG         This is a Boler trailer…

The inside of this Boler trailer was beautiful yet playful as well.. The décor stood out as soon as you entered the door.. It seemed everyone loves a Boler trailer, and for many years they have been a favorite to all that dream of owning one.. The couple who own this trailer have had it since it was purchased by them many years back.. This 1972 Boler was actual built in Earlton Ontario Canada… Tested by time these small easy to tow trailers are sought after.. When someone puts one up for sale they are gone fast.. To renovate this kind of trailer would be a labor of love.. If I had one I think I would only up date that which needed to be up dated.. I’ve never owned one but I sure would love to have one.. I have rebuilt a Glendale trailer before, and I must say it turned out pretty darn classy.. There are very expensive trailers that spoil people with all the gadgets of a modern home.. Heck, they are like a home on wheels.. There are some trailers that are becoming smaller, with all the needed features for comfort.. We only need a small Trailer as it is only the two of us..

DSCN2313.JPG       This combined Boler and Car are eye catchers..

This is an attractive combination.. This would turn heads as it rolls down the road.. Or even through the busy city main drag.. Can you imagine the comments that people would be saying about this beauty.. It’s an eye catcher, and the owners are very proud of their rolling home on wheels.. This has been fun bring these pieces of art into the light.. There will be more trailers featured in the week coming up.. You take care, and be safe out there.. See you Monday, I gotta go.. Till later.. Treat others well and they will treat you the same… 🙂 🙂

Thanks to all my readers and followers that visit my words each day.. Thanks.. 🙂 🙂   Enjoy these photographs taken by myself.. 🙂 🙂

With the back garden unfinished, and the real estate agents showing up. It was time for everyone to leave. Sally had called her agent explaining about the back garden. Sally did not want the agents to see her in the condition she was in. Jody and Sally gathered their tools and made a run for it…
