Go west…

This will be my banter for Monday September 30th…

Hello to everyone:: I hope all is well with all of you… The weekend is now over, and for those who work it will be back to work again.. “I know, I know.” That’s a dirty word to say on a Sunday evening.. But reality will be kicking you in the butt soon enough.. I feel pain for all of you that drag yourselves into work on Monday.. But I guess the all mighty dollar has to be earned.. Anyways, Monday is the last day of September… I sit here and wonder again as I always do.. “What has happened to this month??”  Today, Sunday has been down right cold where I am living.. I guess fall has given us notice that it is here.. “I wish to ask a question”… “Does Indian summer come after the first frost, or in September???”  I would appreciate someone letting me know the answer to my question.. Also, Thanksgivings day is coming pretty soon.. I see a lot of decorations, and small squashes in the stores.. The dollar stores have displays for the table, and outside your home… You can purchase the goods to whip up a wreath for your front door.. All these items for a dollar?? NO.. They are sold for dollars… Not a dollar like we used to pay.. Now they are one dollar plus several dollars.. The place is not cheap anymore.. But it is a convenient place to pick up anything that is cheaply made.. No matter what we all seem to visit there from time to time…

DSCN2364.JPG           This is the drivers seat of this Winnebago..

I wish to chat about this beautiful machine from the past.. We entered this motorhome and found the old style steering wheel and column with the gear shift right there.. Also I have never been in one before and noticed that the passenger seat is made for two people, not just one.. That was fascinating to me and a bit curious at the same time.. The interior was decorated with the old styled colors on the furniture, and on the walls.. I love the size, and convenience of the kitchen and washroom areas.. This vehicle must have been a sight to see when it was new and rolled  off the assembly line.. Beautiful… You had to have a fist full of dollars to buy that one… 🙂 ” Go West son, they said…” Are you kidding me?? There isn’t any going west for this person.. It seems that the west gets the snow much earlier than most of us.. This weekend Alberta was looking at snow on Saturday, and Sunday.. The report said that the amounts would be up to 60 cm. of snow.. That’s why I’m not going west.. Saskatchewan, Manitoba and northern Ontario will be looking at rain but no snow.. Thank goodness for that.. All that white stuff can stay out west till I find my long johns, and that could take me along time.. For all those that have never had the chance to experience a pair of long johns.. They are winter under ware  that keeps you warm, and sucks up the perspiration from your body.. They are also part of the layer system outdoor people ware.. First long johns, shirt and pants, a sweater, a coat and so on…

DSCN2353.JPG           Another example of a vintage Glendale trailer..

The inside of this trailer, it had been spruced up and looked darn beautiful… I like the choice of colors on the outside and on the inside.. It was tastefully decorated, and had a lot of people commenting on the inside.. Lets put it this way… I would have gladly stayed over in that trailer for week..  🙂  Here in Canada the election campaigns are in full swing… With each candidate trying to convince the voters that they are better than the next guy, or gal.. I, like many have a hard time figuring out who is paying for the promises they are making.. Not one candidate has given that information up as of yet.. Heck, I’m just going to vote for the underdog.. Candidates seem to be living in a world where truth and honesty doesn’t mean a thing.. It’s perplexing and a joke to watch.. The things they promise will never be done with out the words of the party in second place.. There are rules and they are to be followed.. It’s a media circus, with twisted words and fingers pointing at the candidates with each word they say.. I’m glad I do not have to be in the drivers seat and navigate through this pile of  hollow promises..

DSCN2351.JPG      This is just one shot of the inside of the Glendale trailer….

As you can see the color scheme from the outside is drawn into the inside.. It is tastefully designed and caught the eye of many of the visitors who stopped by to take a peak inside, and ask question to the owners.. 😮 There are still a few more trailers that I have to showcase… I will be bringing a couple more trailers for you to  enjoy on Tuesday.. You have a wonderful Monday and be safe.. I’m off and running… See ya later.. 🙂 🙂

I would like to tip my hat to all you wonderful readers out there who pop by to read my words.. Thanks… 🙂 🙂  Enjoy the photos.. 🙂 🙂

Throwback…

This is may banter for Thursday September 26th…

Hello everyone:: I trust your Wednesday was pleasant, and uneventful.. Mine has been about the same as yours in everyway… Not too much going on other than the gustiness of  wind outside.. I think if I was any lighter than I was now, I would likely take off in the wind… “Oh, look at me I can fly”… I’d be like Mary Poppins.. One thing about the wind blowing so hard, is that the trees will be minus a few leaves.. There is a Maple tree outside our fence that has bright red leaves on it as well as dark green ones.. I hope all the leaves don’t turn color before our holiday.. I’m sure there maybe a few leaves left on the trees.. After all our holiday is only a week and a half away.. I know it will be cool and damp, but neither of us care.. There’s lots to do.. Walking the dogs will be one of them, and exploring… The exploring is something that intrigues me.. There are so many places and things to do around where you are visiting or camping out… I know when most people go camping, you camp.. The trailer we first stayed in was moved to a new spot in the park.. That means new views from the windows, and different photos.. I’m getting excited already…

DSCN2419.JPG           This is some of the inside of the Shasta Trailer….

I am showing some trailers we had the honor of seeing at a Vintage trailer show at a camp grounds.. I had seen the event listed on my face book events calendar.. It was actually an adventure in itself to find the place.. We asked a lot of different places if they knew where to camp ground was?? “I don’t mean just a couple people, but almost six people”… We even went into a camp ground or two to see if they knew.. All that was shown was a round sign at the end of a road.. We turned into the lane… The road looked like we were heading into an old farm.. All we could see was a dirt road and a new building in the distance.. There was even an old barn with it’s doors open wide.. “Okay, we are down on the farm now”.. We could see a nice big pool beside the new building.. There also was a large trailer parked close to the building that was for sale… We followed a dirt road, and there were trailers on nicely placed lots with full services.. The place was really beautiful with the tall trees… We seen a tractor that was clearing more lots for campers.. We drove around, only to be stopped by the man on the tractor.. We asked him about the show.. Low a behold we were a day ahead of the show.. So we followed the dirt road back out to the road we came in on..

DSCN2413.JPG            This is a Air Stream trailer we saw…

This trailer was really beautiful inside, and the man who did the reno on this trailer was very proud of his work.. He had a right to be proud… I found the inside of the trailer had too much metal for my taste.. But, that is my taste and I find the warmth of softer materials, used in a reno, very inviting.. I can see the glamour of the Air Stream that attracts people.. It’s a sturdy well built trailer.. It’s water proof design is well boasted amongst R.V. followers.. I will be enclosing at least one inside photo of the featured trailer each day.. This will likely be featured over the next couple weeks.. I like the style and durability of older trailers.. A lot of the trailers I happened to see were still owned by the couple that purchased them when they were new.. Grant you some people found these trailers, and did great renos of those trailers…

DSCN2409.JPG       This is a photo of the kitchen inside of the Air Stream trailer..

This kitchen stands well above any of the kitchens I have seen in any of the trailers I visited that day.. Like I said, the man who is the owner of this Air Stream did a beautiful job.. I hope that all of you enjoy our journey through exploring vintage trailers at the trailer show.. Well, I am on the run.. Take care and be safe out there.. Till later.. Have  great Thursday… 🙂 🙂

Thank you to all my readers for reading my words each day.. 🙂 🙂  Enjoy my photographs in this banter.. 🙂 🙂

Rain drops…

DSCN2194.JPG           The church on the hill….

www.marionbell.com/rain-drops

This is my banter for Wednesday September 25th…

Hello all you lovely people:: Today (Tuesday) has been somewhat on the cold and miserable side.. Rain drops could be seen falling abundantly or just a few at a time.. There seems to be no clearing in sight.. I dressed myself in jeans, tee shirt, and warm winter style socks and a big warm sweater.. My hands are freezing, and if I placed them on your back.. I would guess that you would be jumping and shivering like crazy.. I kid you not.. My nose is even cold.. As I was cooking wings in the oven, I placed my hands in there to stop them from hurting.. They say, cold hands means a warm heart, but what does a cold nose mean.. I can’t wait for the real cold to show up NOT!! That’s the time when my nose is always red.. I look like a drunk even though I seldom drink.. I have a couple coolers that have been in the fridge for over six months.. That’s how much I drink… Getting back to the wonderful days we have been having.. pretty soon we will be taking down the gazebo and hiding away the lawn furniture.. I don’t know about your yards, but we are getting a lot of leaves on the ground already.. Last year the trees around here were definitely not ready for the white powder.. I even had plants that would not give up… They just kept growing even after the first snow fall.. I guess no matter where you live the weather has it’s way of showing you the seasons..

DSCN2020.JPG         Grazing on grass on a cool fall morning…

I’ve been pretty lazy today.. I have been working on the props I have, but other than that I have not done anything.. I feel tired, and I think it may have something to do with the weather.. All I wanted to do is lay on the couch wrapped in a warm blanket and sleep.. But I did not do that, and chose to work on the props I will be selling.. I have this one piece to sell and I have no idea what to sell it for.. It is a one of a kind and there is no other like it in the world.. To me it is worth lots but to others it may not be as pricey.. There are always people who expect something for nothing.. I should take it to Spirt Halloween and ask what they think it is worth.. I’ve had a lot of people want it.. But, I would not sell at the time.. I have to take photos of all the props before I can sell.. I will be at that point by the weekend.. I know what I’m going to be doing this weekend…

DSCN2022.JPG          Grazing on grass with his buddy… The first horse photo…

This evening I chose to cook chicken wings for dinner along with fries.. I decided to mix it up and bake them in the oven with shake n bake.. Did they ever turn out really good.. The meat was so tender that it fell right off the bone… If you ever want to try wings this way you won’t be sorry… I cooked them in the oven at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.. I did two fully pack cookie trays of wings (about 75 wings), so time will vary for what you want to cook.. Oh and my guys eat a fair amount of food.. I have a few left over, but that will be eaten pretty fast as a snack.. I also whipped up a batch of moist brownies.. I did the taste test and they where very tasty.. Yum!! I could eat quite a few more of those, but those brownies go straight to my waist line.. ‘Darn’.. Like all yummy things we eat.. Oh well, now I go and cry over the one I ate while I look in the mirror.. ‘You know, I think my mirrors have been made like the ones at the carnival’.. ‘I’m sure of it’.. “Really”!!!

DSCN2165.JPG          This is the goose at the water front as I looked up…

Can you see what I meant by the twisted flowing lines.. It’s absolutely beautiful.. Can you imagine the pain staking hours it took to design and complete such a creative piece of art… There is a special talent this artist has, and he or she uses it well.. It’s getting late on this Tuesday night and I have to get off here.. I still have a couple things to finish up before I turn in for the night.. I wish all of you a wonderful Wednesday, and good fortune… Till later.. Enjoy your Wednesday… 🙂 🙂

I wish to send out thanks to all my readers who read my words.. Thank you for your time… 🙂 🙂   Enjoy my photos.. 🙂 🙂

Is it time?

DSCN2035.JPG           I came upon this little fella on my walk…

www.marionbell.com/is-it-time

This is my banter for Friday September 20th…

Hello, to everyone:: I am wishing all of you happiness, and good fortune.. ‘I know I usually ask how you are doing’.. This is just one of those out of the ordinary thoughts.. I have to mix it up or it gets very boring, as you read the same thing day in and day out… I know I have lost my touch with reality, and I care not to give a darn.. One way or the other.. The title, ‘Is it time’ refers to going to sleep.. Turning in, hitting the sack, or just plain going to bed.. ZZZZ… I had the worst night’s sleep on Wednesday night.. I tossed and turned.. Finding myself in my usual sleeping poses, but none of them seemed to work.. I lay there with thoughts of what I should have done or said.. Story lines would run through my mind, and vanish a few minutes later.. Sometimes I get stunning lines, that I dwell on for longer than I should.. Nothing seemed to be working.. I could hit myself on the head with my cast iron pan… But with my luck I would likely drop it on my foot and break my toes, and foot.. Then I would not be able to sleep due to the pain.. I seen the clock tell me it was four forty five a.m.. Holly crap.. The greater part of the night has gone by.. My mind told me it was time to sleep, but the body was not listening..

DSCN2073.JPGThis photo is plain and simple.. I like it..

My legs felt heavy, and my dancing feet were making the seventeenth lap around the dance floor.. I get really upset when my legs try to keep going.. I’m not partial to restless leg syndrome.. “Is it time to sleep” I kept asking myself.. I stood on the floor beside the bed, and made my way to the bathroom, again.. As I walked it felt like I was tap dancing across the floor.. :0 There was no music,  just the sound of my breathing.. I slathered my legs and feet with extra moisturizing lotion.. I had to be careful on the way back to bed.. I went carefully, placing each foot flat on the floor.. One wrong move and I would be sailing across the floor.. I was a greasy as pig at a pig chase.. Once at the bedroom door, I turned to look behind me and someone was following me.. :O Now, how could I sleep knowing someone was outside the bedroom door.. I hurried my pace and jumped into bed.. I pulled the blankets up over my nose.. My eyes darted back and forth and my heart rate quickened.. I was not alone.. I had my dogs with me.. They would save me should anything happen.. I was as wrong as could be, as deep under the covers they huddled… I guess I was on my own.. I turned on my side and watched in the direction of the door..

DSCN2087.JPGHow the heck does anything get out of this part of the forest??

It was dark in the room, and the only hint of light was a tiny night light.. I could see the door as the dim light reflected towards the door.. I waited and waited.. I had enough.. I needed to see what or  if anything was out there.. With a can of hair spray in my right hand, I opened the door.. I flicked the light switch.. No one was there, just me.. I looked at the foot prints again and placed my foot right on top of one of them.. Perfect fit.. This person wore the same size as me.. Is there anyone here? I asked.. But no answer.. I crept quietly back to the bedroom and closed the door behind me.. I jumped into bed.. The dogs started to bark.. How could I ever sleep with all this noise going on?? I reassured the dogs that it was me, and slithered under the blankets.. The bed was so warm and inviting.. I sighed, and turned on my side to keep an eye on the door.. It must have been another hour or more, and I was really wanting sleep to find me.. I welcomed sleep.. The clock reflected on the ceiling, what time it was.. Five fifteen.. I couldn’t believe it.. Was I going to sleep tonight or stay up..

DSCN2094.JPG    This crazy looking rotten stump looked like large dog..

I could feel my puppy licking my hand.. The feeling was so soothing.. I pulled her up beside me, and she put her head on my arm.. There must have been some magic in that little lick.. I don’t recall anymore story lines, fear, or anything till I saw the light of morning around ten thirty a.m. .. Isn’t it great how the body can drift off with a friend close by… 🙂 🙂 Take care, and be kind.. This exhausted lady needs to get a nap.. Till later.. Get some sleep.. :0 :0

I want to thank my readers for coming to read my banter.. Thank you.. 🙂 🙂  Ya already know the photos are mine.. Enjoy… 🙂 🙂

Warm day…

www.marionbell.com/warm-day

This is my banter for Wednesday September 18th…

Hello everyone:: I just realized and am amazed to see that this month is melting away before us.. It’s the eighteenth of this month already.. It feels like it had just started a week ago.. Time moves way too fast for me.. It seems like the days are too filled with stressful events.. Events that drag you down and make you feel yucky.. We received news today that a young man in his forties was taken to heaven.. I am a firm believer that our children should not pass before us.. Jamie is my step-son from another marriage.. My sons both kept in contact with him all the time.. He had a heart attack, and his wife found him when she returned home on Monday.. His young wife and everyone who knew him will miss him a lot.. So sad how life is taking away so many of our young people.. He is in heaven, and will live on in our thoughts… There will be another bright star in the night skies.. Jamie will be missed… ;-(

DSCN2252.JPG           Through the branches you can see another camper…

Today was not only sad, but also quite warm.. The sun shone down on all of us.. I sat for a while outside, and took in some of the sun’s warmth.. In the morning it was cool but comfortable.. I sat thinking about our next camping adventure.. I thought of a few places that we did not get time to visit.. I wish to go to the park where I took pictures along time ago.. I had several of my photos placed through out the park paper.. I won the photo contest for the park.. I believe I had four photos in the paper.. It was very exciting at the time.. I had a hard time believing I had won.. We have booked the week of October sixth to the fifteenth.. I can hardly wait to take a million photos of the fall colors.. There will be no internet, and no phone service.. Just the way I like it.. Lots of piece and quiet.. I will let everyone know later as to when we will leave.. Till then, I will be here passing on my banter to those that drop by to read my words.. I thank you all for your time..DSCN2261.JPG        The small river that runs from the falls…

This particular picture has caught my eye and remains as one that will stand out like none of the others.. I found such beauty as the water rolled by our camp area.. The sounds of frogs jumping into the water as we sat peacefully in our lawn chairs.. I found the invisible factor of the water intriguing and captivating.. The fallen pieces of limbs tell a story of their vulnerability to the seasons.. The winds, and stormy weather.. A time when a piece of life was stolen from a growing tree.. The limbs will lay there beneath the water, only to tell it’s story to someone else.. I will cherish that story which I had the chance to see and hear.. The river rolls on through the camp, but I know not how far it rambles.. I may follow it one day soon, and reveal where it goes..

DSCN2257.JPG          Blurred in the mess of leaves is a humming bird feeder…

This blur of red stood out behind the clustered leaves.. As I looked further into the leaves I came upon a Humming Bird feeder.. I found the tangled leaves interesting.. They were almost like a porous wall dividing the camp sites from one another..  The flashes of bright sun light fought to find their way through the leaves.. Small creatures could be seen busily moving along as they harvested the treats they need for winter.. Spiders watched through several eyes, as they poised to jump on it’s next victim.. It’s web stretches from limb to limb.. Don’t go running through those limbs as you will be the spiders next victim.. 🙂 ;0  Take care of your loved ones and be safe.. Till later.. Keep your nose into the wind.. 🙂 🙂

I would like to take this time to say thank you to all my wonderful readers who join me each day… 🙂 🙂    All photographs in my banter are taken by myself.. Enjoy.. 🙂 🙂

gran driving red lips (2).jpgMAGS… Have a wonderful day… 🙂 🙂

Great times…

DSCN1539.JPGOne single flower standing on it’s own… Perfection…

www.marionbell.com/great-times

This is my banter for Monday August 19th..

Hello everyone:: How the heck is everyone on this Monday in August.. I would almost bet that all of you had a great time with your families and friends.. The rain fell here a bit on Saturday, and later Friday evening. The grass sure loved the rain, as it seems to have grow since then. The plants are tall and bright colors, and fill our backyard with beauty.. The squirrels are raiding the bird feeder, as they always do. The chipmunk has come out of his hiding to grab a bite to eat.. A noisy Red Cardinal stopped by to pick berries from a tree next door. They are such a beautiful bird, and I would imagine soon I will see mom with their little babies on the back fence.. I see them there quite often, as mom shows them the place to get food.. The babies make their way along the fence like a tight rope walker.. Every once in awhile they loose their balance and stagger to one side of the top board of the fence.. I love sitting and watching them grow stronger, and get their colors.. That is one of the things I wait for each year and they have returned each year and raise a new brood of babies. Same with the Blue Jay, and many other birds..

DSCN1577.JPG        A blend of blue and yellow is bound to brighten up any spot….

This weekend brought the Finches into the backyard.. They are so tiny and beautiful.. With their bright yellow and black plumage.. They flit through the air as if they had hitched a ride on the tail of the wind.. We are all so fortunate to behold such beauty around us.. It’s almost, as if you blink you will miss something extra special.. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.. I love to watch the animals with my camera by my side. I try to capture those special moments forever as proof to my memory.. For, in the winter I can gaze back on the beauty in pictures.. Friday night, I made potato salad, and deviled eggs for the dinner on Saturday.. This way I was not burdened by the preparation of those items.. Friday was a nice day to spend sitting on the porch, and watching the world go by.. We had been talking about renting a camper and going camping for a week.. I began going through the internet trying to find a place not too far away.. I found one and it is with-in the one hundred miles I reserved for travel.. The place is quaint, and family oriented.. We drove there on Friday afternoon and booked a few days stay.. Now all we have to do is wait for the time to come around.. Personally, I can’t wait.. :0 :0

DSCN1584.JPG        Inviting falls to cool off in, or just to sit and be in love…

Saturday came early as there was still a lot to do before company came.. The steaks had to come out of the freezer, and the chicken was in the fridge, ready to go on the barbeque.. I drank my tea, and while I did that my daughter called and asked I they could come to the house earlier then mentioned.. ‘Of course I said yes.’ Their time of arrival was to be an hour and a half.. I jumped to my feet and made my way up stairs to get dressed for the day.. Vacuuming was the first thing on my list. Finished that, and got help with the bathrooms.. The dog needed to be washed, and I tried my best to get my hubby to take her to the spa.. The pet store near us has a spa area. There you can wash your dog, and they supply shampoos, conditioners, and good smelling sense for your dog..  They also give you towels, doog hair blowers, and it all costs only ten dollars.. A very good deal and easier on the back then, the bath tub.. He was reluctant to go, but after he was there he realized how much easier the work was using the spa.. I filled my time with the cleaning I still had to do.. The dog smelled fantastic and we were ready for company..

buzzy beeOne of life’s wonders, and a big part of pollination..

Turns out the hour and a half turned into about three hours.. My daughter and Shawn were riding a motor cycle, and ran into very wet weather.. They needed to stop at a Walmart and purchase new clothing and whatever they could find in the line of weather protection.. My daughter still had wet socks, and one wet boot when yhey arrived.. Shawn had a wet tee shirt, and a soaking wet helmet on the inside.. It wasn’t a good ride for them, as it was pretty chilly.  At least they arrived here safe and sound.. We talked and they relaxed in the warmth of the inside.. If anyone has been caught in the rain on a motor cycle, you will understand how uncomfortable and dangerous it is on the roads.. It was getting time to put the chicken into the barbeque. The time went by quite fast, as we neared the time for the other guests to show up. Once the rest of the guests arrived it was time to start cooking the steaks.. While I was doing the cooking, a cloud opened up and got me a bit wet. But, not enough for me to quit cooking the steaks. We set the table and everyone got a seat, and dinner was served.. I got a good review for the steaks, and how perfectly they had been cooked.. That made me feel pretty good, as I milling around making sure everyone was doing fine.. The baby was being a bit cranky, and he was hungry too. Mom gave him his bottle and he fell fast asleep.. After desert everyone talked and joked about pretty much everything.. You know, I love seeing my children, and am very proud of  the fantastic people they are today..

I just love it when a good day, and good company gather in a place of love and happiness.. I love all of you, and am proud to have you as my children..  🙂 🙂

I would like to take this time to thank all my readers, for being here to read my banter.. 🙂 🙂  Seems like I took the photos in this banter, as I have a few times.. Enjoy.. 🙂 🙂

Busy…

DSCN1456.JPG         I wonder who lives in there…..

www.marionbell.com/busy

This is my banter for Tuesday August 13th..

Hi there everyone… Today was pretty hot out and I did my very best to stay out of the heat. Like most people I tend to become cranky when the heat is too much for me.. The day was truly beautiful in every respect, other than fairly hot. My little pup, that likes to sit on the deck in the sun as she guards her yard. She had to come in because it was too hot. For her that is not her usual.. She has fun watching the squirrels till she think they are used to her, then she goes taring after them at a high speed. The squirrels don’t care, they just sit up in the trees scolding her… It’s quite comical.. I did go out long enough to water the plants on the deck.. Then into the house I disappeared.. Once in the house I drank my tea, and wondered about what to make for supper.. I know, I know, it was too early to think about dinner. But with two hungry guys coming home wanting food as soon as they enter the house. Well, I decided that dinner would be pork chops, potatoes, and a vegetable.. I went into the deep freezer and found out that the pork chops where buried under mounds of other frozen items. I’ll tell ya, it is not hot in there.. I came out of the freezer with the tips of my finger cold as ice.. These fingers could have anyone jumping out of their skin.. Mission accomplished meat out of freezer, and thawing in a ice cold sink of water.. Time to get back at drinking my tea, and waking up.. Or should I say, I am awake thanks to the cold freezer…

DSCN1462.JPG        This curious looking item at first looked like a Dragon…

It’s a beautiful piece of wood..

While drinking my tea, I stared at the carpet with disgust. I knew it would have to be vacuumed. But the dirty patches from muddy slippers, dog feet, and splotches made by spills. I do not have a large carpet cleaner, and the only one I have is for spot pick ups.. The little green devil is what I believe the store calls it. I was going to clean this carpet today, and that was final.. I made my way to the basement to get the machine and the cleaning products.. I filled my arms with bottles containing liquids for stains, something for bubbles, and something to deodorize the carpet. I held the small machine in my loose fingers… Up the stairs I trudged. I tried my best not to let anything get away from me. As I made it to the top step, I juggled the bottles in my arms, and stood watching them roll down the stairs and come to rest on the floor.. ‘Shoot!’ I said, as I opened the basement door and placed the machine on the floor of the hallway. I turned and made my way down the stairs to gather all the bottles up in my arms… There was no way I would let them get away this time.. I had left the door open to the basement, so I didn’t have to juggle the bottles again.. Into the kitchen with the bottles, and placed them on the counter.. I went back to get the machine, and close the basement door.. I actually felt a little more alert after the stair exercises I just did.. Maybe I will make that trip on the stairs part of my wake up routine.. ‘NOT!!’ I don’t know if I want to be that awake..

DSCN1461.JPG       This is another view of the dragon in the forest…

On bended knees I scrubbed the spots, spills, and dirt away. The water from the carpet was a dark murky mud bog color. I could not believe how terrible the water looked.. The carpet looked great, and was actually softer on the toes.. And the pile of the carpet looked brushed and beautiful.. I had done what I had set out to do, some two hours before.. I knew it would be a long process, but the results were worth the time.. My knees were not too happy at all. They were red and sore.. And they stayed that way for the rest of the day.. ‘Ouch!’ I’m glad that’s over. Well, I have run into the dinner time area of the day.. It’s time to cook, or should I say barbeque.. That seems to bring out the true flavors of the meat.. With table set and hungry fellas standing close by, it was time to eat.. And man, where those chops tasty.. A nice relaxing dinner, and everyone full.. Time to watch the news to see what has happened in the world today… After the news was done I finished up the carpet by vacuuming it.. I was done for the day, the rest of this day was mine, and mine alone..

Visiting camp..

DSCN1457.JPG   Walking around the camp ground.. This caught my eye..

www.marionbell.com/visiting-camp

This is my banter for Monday August 12th..

This weekend we went to visit the camp site of my son and his beautiful wife.. The day was a little on the chilly side, and I actually had to wear a sweater. Wow, what a change from at home.. It was really good to get away. The site was right next to the road in the camp. There was just enough room for them to park their trailer. The space between two trees and the extended awning was six inches. A tight squeeze for sure. And the awning had to be put in when they wanted to use the fire pit. The next time they camp at this KOA, they know which place to ask for by number. The place is set up really well, with trails to walk on, pools to swim in, horse shoe pits, and a large barn where the young and old can go to watch movies. There are a lot more things and adventures to be had by the many campers who stay there all season, or just drop in for a couple days. I would camp there myself, after all the place is well kept… The people seemed nice and friendly as they drive by in their golf carts. There were a lot of golf carts being used. Even a couple for the clean up crew for the camp Those golf carts had rakes, shovels, brooms, and anything else needed to clean up any mess they found. And this camp did recycling. That’s the first time I have seen that.. KOA camps are famous for the environment, and making sure the forested areas are not ruined.

DSCN1409.JPG        A friendly game of horse shoes was had by the fellas…

Little children rode by on their tricycles, and bicycles. Moms and dads walking behind or riding with the children. Our area had a round about, and the active little ones kept riding past us. A mom had stopped to ask if we had seen the little ones riding by. We gave her the direction they were headed in, and off  she went to catch up to them. The next time we saw the little ones they were on scooters their size. They definitely were not going as fast. I guess maybe mom could keep up to them a lot better that way.. There was one little cute gal that tipped her scooter upside down and was pulling it behind her. She actually had the bunch of us giggling as she went by.. She was so cute and smart.. Like I said the place had a safe feel to it, and was very family oriented. The kind of place where the permanent campers watch out for the children. This way everyone knows the children  are safe…

DSCN1423.JPG        Another interesting area that caught my eye….

We sat talking, laughing, and watching Parker as he made the cutest baby faces.. He really has become a camping baby. He loves being outside, as long as he has a place to kick his feet. Once, he had started to get fussy and I put my tablet on a hook on the stroller, and he laid back watching the movie I had put on for him. I have great photos of him kicking his little feet and touching the tablet with his toes.. I even captured great photos of papa and Parker together.. My grand-daughter and her friend rode their bike all over the place in the camp. They even watched a scary movie in the big barn with other people.. We went for a stroll, and I was not paying too much attention to the people, and more attention to the trees and rocks that hid within the trees.. Everyone was wondering what I saw in the trees. But, I knew what I was looking at, as I click my camera, and captured beautiful photos… I have always been able to find images, and interesting parts nature has hidden away from site.. Over this week I will share some of those photos with all of you..

DSCN1459.JPG      There are many hidden treasures. All you have to do is see them..

We had such a wonderful time, and will be doing the trek to camp on the long weekend in September.. It will only be a visit, but I’m very certain the visit will be fun.. Last time I was at this camp ground was when, I used to bring my children there and they always had fun there.. Till then I will be patiently waiting for that weekend to arrive.. This time maybe we will even stay for the camp fire, and sit staring at the ambers dance and float up towards the stars.. There’s no better way to enjoy a fire, except for roasting marsh mellows over the fire, on the end of a stick.. I find the food tastes better when you are camping.. Maybe it’s all that fresh air you breath in while you are there..

Thank you for joining me, and reading my banter… Till tomorrow… Be safe.. 🙂 🙂

I would like to thank all the great readers I have. I appreciate your coming to visit.. Once again all the photos in this banter are taken by me.. Maggie… 🙂 🙂
